I watched the Final Live in the UK (Eurosport) and really enjoyed it, I would just like to say well done to the Iroquois nationals they played some great Lacrosse throughout the tourney and just missed out on the gold, the Diving shot and around the world goal was amazing to watch.

Nothing against the canadians winning I just enjoyed how the creators of the game played, they have an exciting style.

props to England for 3rd place also!

yeah i felt the same way. i dont think ive ever seen a team move the ball as well as they do, they barely ever take more than one or two steps with the ball on offense they just move it around way to well and find an open man.

great game john grant is unreal

Yeah, they finished 4 th anyways. Also, with players like Radcliff (points leader in the tournament), Cable and Clark (pretty much the only other point getters for England apart from Leach). Anyways without those 3 canadians I believe England would have finish 3rd in it's pool and have ended up playing for 5th or 6th position at best. Scotland would have easily beat England only if Radcliff hadn't played.

This guy is the best Box lacrosse player by a fair margin. No other player is as complete and as smart as he is.

:nono: England lost in the Bronze game to the states, so that makes them 4th.

I wouldn't say "complete". He's an offensive wizard but there's tons of guys I'd rather have on defense.

That's not true at all. He's not complete - he's terrible at defense. And he's not all that smart either - he's constantly taking bad shots and throwing the ball away. Tavares is both more complete and much smarter, but not as talented physically. Grant relies on his physical abilities for his success, not his smarts.

Oh I mean obviously I wouldn't want this guy on defense all the time. He's definitely capable of playing D though, would the need arise.

I guess it comes to preferences. I love Grant's game and I've seen him do superb plays where he barely needed skills because he was so well positioned or because he was a play earlier then other people on the floor. He does shot quite a lot though from many angle.

I guess many people would agree with you about Tavares, I know as for myself Grant would would be my first choice would I start a team (not considering age obviously)

John Grant is not terrible at defence. He doesn't throw the ball away. Alot of the bad shots you see are to extend shotclocks. (at a very high percentage I might add) He isn't slow. He doesn't run half a floor................

John Grant doesn't have alot of people to play with.

The Evans Brothers, Tracey Kellusky, Shawn Williams, Jeff Zywickie, Gary Gait, Dan Carey, are among the few that I've seen in the last decade that can "really" play with him. It takes an advanced lacrosse player to even step in the box with him. To know when he's faking or when he's passing or shooting. He's given guys fits for years because they just don't know what he's going to do. Watch the tape, most of those bad passes are movement on the recipient's part. I've been watching John (was too old to play with him) most of his life. What most see is the sub shots and the stick fakes, watch for the punnishment he takes and the full floor chases he makes when his team loses the ball.

There is no better player in the game, now that his father is retired.

The Iroquois Nationals while made up of alot of Six Nations players is a different entity than The Chiefs or the Arrows. They have different lineups for box and field.

Darris Kilgour has signed on to coach the St. Regis Indians for the 2007 MSL season so I couldn't see him coaching a highschool tournament mid season.

Also, the Nats have included other First Nations players into their line-up as well.

For the highschool tournament, it is Hagersville S.S. and the team is pretty much The rebels who won founders cup...also the coach is Delby powless of the Bandits.
