I have never dyed before, but I want to dye my Rocket completely pink (mesh and everything) neon pink or green. I told my friend and he said that it would be pretty cool.He also said that when his older brother did a dye job for one of his friends, either the dye or head (can't remember which one) broke, in the rain. Is this true? Also, how can I clean the entire head so that it is clean and looks like new? I heard bleach does well, if so, will bleaching before dying effect the dye??

how can the dye break in the rain? bleach will make your head whiter, I'd just recommend lava soap and water though, scrub it hard. you can dip it all in at the same time without unstringing it. good luck

I'm pretty sure you can only bleach a head while it is white

It doesn't have to be 100% clean right?

Well, the cleaner the head is the better the dye will look. Places where dirt and ball marks where will leave the head white usualy or it will look bad.

Just make sure to rinse the head extra good in cold water when dying head and string together. Especially in the stringing holes. If you don't and your head gets wet due to rain or early morning dew the dye will run from the mesh.

The dye is going to leak out of any fabric you put it in. It will fade regardless of how you rinse it. Lava soap is available at any grocery store or something, its got grit in it that really scrubs stuff off. Also, bleach can help restore it to white from the brown color sulax is talking about, but RIT dye company makes a color remover specifically for that.

use an old tooth brush and a LITTLE nbit of toothe paste. it works wonders.
