Buying a black head. OLD

Hey, i few years back for one of my first sticks, i got a black x2. ( we have about three x2's now.) Nowadays, you cant buy a head in black unless it's dyed, but this was like black plastic. Does anyone know why they stopped doing this?

I think they still make STX ballhogs w/ blue plastic. God those heads suck.


And i do think now it would be a waste of money...but imagine a red helix!

you can still find them every once in a while, but they didn't sell as good as white ones did. What the consumer wants is what the consumer gets, so if there is just a little demand for them, then they won't make them.

ever seen a "rainbow blurr" X2/bionic/proton ? what about the factory snakeskin from stx? factory green/neon cyber/proton/matrix/vapor? i have heard of a black factory clutch.

me and my friend were talking about this the other day, i think its because they dont make enough money selling them. theres not many people that want them so if they want them bad enough theyll just buy the white one and dye it.

really? wow, thats intuitive. do they melt the heads down and remold them? because fixing a break would be a thing that would seem to still have the head weak in that spot.

i doubt that. it would be to expensive to ship the broken heads back to china to make it economically feasable.
i could see them using heads that failed quality control to make colored ones tho.

back when i was in HS colored heads were much more common, in fact it was hard to find white ones to dye. since then the colored ones have slowly been disappearing, its easier and cheaper to sell white ones only, so the manufacturers have just given up on them.

you will occasionally find them a few years ago STX did black X2s and orange quarks, but i'm not sure if anyone has done that recently
