i havent posted a thread with a good string job in a long time. all this current fuss about the goal-ex made me go back to my roots a bit and polish up my old mod-ex style. i made it as close to the goal-ex as i wanted it to be while still actually being good and trustworthy. superchanneled, wont rebound much at all when fully broken in, throws like a dream, holds like a dream, everything you would ever want.

note - channel isnt really crooked. it was sitting up against a wall for an hour or so and the mesh stiffened a bit so once i break it in again itll be straight as it should be.

2nd note - if anyone was really curious, its only about 2 balls deep at most.

believe me, its not more than 2. if it is its by a fraction of an inch. its a great overall pocket, im still impressed with it. now i just gotta do it 4 more times in backup heads and ill be set for another season.
im also posting this in the peak thread but anyone going to session 1, i will show you how to string if your interested. just bring your own mesh.

Aww, I'm going to the second session. Man, my mesh is so soft now creating a channel is impossible. It throws well but the ball control is horrible, and I don't know anyone who can string goalie heads well. I guess I'll just learn how to myself, I probaly should anyways. But that looks really well strung, does it throw with much whip?

not much at all. if i loosened the shooters a bit more then it will have literally none, but i like about a 3 out of 10 on the whip scale with my sticks so it throws frozen rope clears.

Ok so I tried it and before I start let me tell you I used an old crappy peice of mesh to see how it would turn out. I had a good channel until the bottom when I started doubling up and it kinda bowled out and there was no channel at all. Ill have pictures soon if i even keep this in, but I'm hoping it was the mesh because if I don't double up at the bottom there's no pocket. Any help would be nice.
