How long does it take to break in a new Eclipse? I might get one for my birthday. :roll:

well i'm not sure cuz i just looked at one today...let me rephrase the question, on average, how long does it take to break it in? or...if you have one, how long did it take to break it in?

it depends on what you wanna do with it. to break in my new hard mesh i usually take it in the shower and use some conditioner to soften it up. then i'll pound it while it's wet to form a good pocket.
or just pund it a lot and play.
i like the 1st one better though, it's a lot quicker

just play with it alot, some take awhile and some don't, i have a nemesis that i have used all season and its still not broken in, and we have practices and games all the time...

i have a eclipes and im still breaking it in and i got it like five or six months ago but yea like that one guy said if u shower it you can speed up the process

water,shampoo,conditioner and a bowling ball or medicine ball if you have one if you don't just keep pounding it

What is a medicine ball?
Or you can just get a 12d or monster mesh, which are easier to break in. I have a 12d and I broke it in 2 weeks after I got it.

a medicine ball is an exercise weight, its a ball full of sand. you do aerobics and stuff with them.

yeah it worked pretty well for me but nothing is better then shots to break in a stick

i just got a new one, and the pocket is still a little hard. so today there was a huge rainstorm, so i just put it outside for a couple hours, and i just brought it in and its pretty soft now (not 100% dry though).
ill edit this tommorrow about if it went back to normal or not

The factory strung eclipses are horrible, buy a 20d mesh kit + the eclipse unstrung.
