Did anyone else see this picture. The goalie on Georgetown is using the most old school goalie head, the warrior abyss. I got this head like 6 or some years ago. But i really respect this guy for not getting hyped up into all of the new equipment, he just uses an old school head, and is sick with it. He shows others that they dont need all of this new stuff to be good. This guys the man. Anyone else think so?

yah cause the abyss is totaly like 5 years old the eclipse is older then an abyss, so i guess the abyss isnt old school anymore.

BTW that isnt an abyss, its not even a warrior head.....

Why? A lot of people do it, someone doesn't deserve respect just because they prefer a certain stick. Not to mention since he's got a CPX Ti, custom K18 gloves, and an STX Axe, I'm not so sure he buys into the old school appeal you do.

Some goalies prefer Abyss or Goalmaster to the Nemmy or Eclipse. When my Eclipse broke, I had to go back to an Abyss, and it's definitely one of the most under-rated heads on the market.

If he were truely old school, he would use a woodie. The goalmaster is still very popular because of it's stiffness. He shouldn't be applauded, because he's not doing anything ground breaking.

i use a really old warrior chest protector from like 1990 something. its red and black says millinium edition on it. its really crappy so i bought a blue one that gait makes

ok? theres not much old school about the goalmaster, or the abyss for that matter. its just rare to see a goalmaster in the ncaa's.

they should have kept some old school stuff. like the design on the CP. companies are finally starting to go back to roots because some of these new things suck. like the supercrosse and the money. oh well. also the spartan core series is sick i have one but i dont use it because it only goes down to my mid stomach so it sucks to get hit there...the sentenal BP is tight though

i have the abyss and i love it. im actually considering putting my eraser on my backup and throwing the abyss back on my game stick.

i just pulled my ol' goalmaster out of the closet, strung it up, and realized that i've probably been the most happy with it of all my sticks. i played last year with an eclipse, and i'm seriously considering using it this next season. i think often times people will lose sight of the practicality of a design because of its simplicity.

FYI - Warrior was started in 1993, so it's probably from 2000, which was the turn of the millenium.

And the Goalmaster is a great stick, today and always. Great, lightweight, stiff design that was THE standard in the late 80's and 90's. Still plays well.

First of all, the abyss isnt that old school, i have one, they aren't that great i like my nemesis over that anyday.

anyway, i don't think that is a abyss i think thats a goalmaster from STX, THATS old school, not the abyss lol
