has anyone here ever had poisen ivy? how bad and how did u treat it?

i have it and its the first time ive ever had it and its so annoying, so does anyone kno any treatments?

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH i hate posion ivy lol. Ive only gottin it once... I got it everywhere. It started in one small spot but quickly spread everywhere and it is soo annoying. Basically you have to put sumthin like calimine (sp?) lotion on it, try not to scratch and wait it out. sucks dont it

I've heard putting duct tape on the rash can help, as an old wives tale. Whether it's because it keeps you from scratching, or doesn't work at all, who knows, but it wouldn't hurt to try. You wouldn't look too cool with duct tape exposed on your skin, but I figure the rash is oogly enough that you'd have to cover it up anyways.

I don't get poison ive, I don't know I guess I'm just lucky but one time me and some friends were running through the woods and they all came out with poison ivy all over them and I didn't have any it was pretty cool.

theres posine ivy all behind my house. i never got it but my dad does every summer and i think he puts calimine lotion on. its a yellow tube with red writing. lol if that helps

I hate poison ivy, just don't scratch it, it will aggravate it more and the poisin will spread.

Best cure is warm baths and callimine lotion, lots of it

No poison ivy where I live, we have poison oak. I have no idea what poison ivy looks like, but I can see the poison oak a mile away. It gets bright red in the late summer/fall. If they're similar, try this: To help heal, wear long sleeves and long pants, so the oil doesn't get on your hands when you scratch. The quickest way to get rid of it is to not scratch though. And after a few days, the oil is gone and you can't give it to anyone else. And wash your hands BEFORE you pee. I'm serious.

Atleast you've never done what I did. We were camping and I had to take a dump. So we have no toilet paper, so I use leaves, I didn't know what poison ivy looked like so I ended up with posion ivy all over my ***.

I kinda don't get poison ivy either. I used to walk through a field of it when I came home from school every day. But once in a while, I get a rash on my arm or leg which seems to be poison ivy. But it goes away within a week and never really spreads. Happens like once a year. Weird.

I had it a couple years bad..but when your in the shower..pretty much turn your cold water off and let the hot water run on your poison ivy..oh man its the greatest feeling

my mom gets poison ivy alot and i think she puts hydrocortezone cream on it or somthing and then if it gets really bad she goes to the doctor and gets perscription for it
