could somebody tell me how to get math symbols on Microsoft word?

The "+" sign is right next to the back space key. You have to hold shift though. If you don't hold shift, it'll make an "=" sign. Next to that key is the "-" key.

I'm sure that is so far from what you meant, but what the hell. I thought I'd throw it out there.

I think if you go to insert, symbols, there's math symbols there.

I'm pretty sure * means muliplication. It's shift, then number 8 above the letters.

Or do what lax21goalie said and go to that, then set the subset to Mathmatical Operations.

thanks lax21, i was talking about like symbols for like square roots and pie and all that junk just to clarify

I use these a lot because I have to use them in my lab reports in college. Go to Insert, Object, then scroll to MathType 5.0 Equation. That will serve all your math needs.

Go Tools > Customize > Insert > Equation editor
