Taking a shot directly to the balls and then having trickle in to the goal ranks high up my list.

I think getting hit in the balls so hard that your cup shatters or maybe getting hit in the shin so hard that you can't play the rest of the game.

The worst part about being a Goalie is when people think they can be so much better than you. But the best part is watching them try and play net.

i agree with the other goalie being better would make me mad too. but i hate when fans say stupid stuff on why i didnt do this or that when they dont even know the rules

Losing in OT on the biggest garbage goal you have ever seen.

That, or having to go 2 men-down, each for 3-minute non-releasables.

yeah thats what annoys me the most. because almost everyone that gives you crap for it has never played goalie. and they dont know anything about how hard it is or what its like. they expect the goalie to stop everything, literally.

when you have no D and no offense and your team is you and the posts. When its your birthday and you lose 26 to 2 but end up having 30 something saves.

Personally i like to run around i always have thats why i do indoor track but standing for most of the game gets boring. I like it better when i can run the ball up

30 something saves? 26 goals? Come on lets get real. That 56 shots total for a game. I think even our intermural middle school kids can keep the other team from getting 56 shots off.

You playing amazing and making huge saves but your team can't score even on an empty net and then you lose the game by one goal. It has happened to me this year so much.

We have the lowest goals for. Even the last place team has more goals then us. But we are racnked 5th out of 8.

That definetely ranks in my top.

For me, I would have to say saving a shot, but when you bring your stick back, the ball rolls out of your stick and goes in the net. I think it's called a first kiss.

being tied 5-5 in the first game of playoff's and the defense gets loose and thinks its ok to leave people open on the crease and missing his shot with your shoulder by 1 inch and losing the game 6-5. that goes pretty high up on my list, along with people saying goalie is so easy and they could do a better job, but wont get in net when you say "ok, then try it, you can use my stuff"

you guys still dont have a worse one than me. we had a clear last year on jv that set a pick for me to run it up...this was when we were up by a lot and i could go all the way....so the middie that was supposed to set the pick, didnt do too well and i ended up geting my stick checked. so i ran back and the guy with the ball didnt shoot yet and was being guarded. so he gets past him and i play on him about 5 feet from teh goal line and save the ball, and it goes a bit off to the side and back, and as i go for it i go down and get crosschecked in the top of my head and fall back into the post really hard and ended up with a major concussion. as im in the hospital i had no idea what i was doing, and apparently i started talking about thomas the tank engine and how he was possibly homosexual...not really sure how. i was dazed like none other.

ehh losing a game in general. when yor d breaks down and you get a million one on ones within 5 yards of you. one goal games. dropping the ball out the back of your stick. bad clear. anything really that people who think they know the pressure, luck, skill, and craziness it takes to play goalie

Ranimal1

there is now bad part to being a goalie its the coolest position, you can potentially play offense and defense at the same time, look at queener the albany goalie, he scored a goal on hopkins. that is what makes the position fun. you can stop an offense with a save and start an offense with a quick outlet. its a great position if ur not afraid of getting hit once in a while

SAVEING THE MOST AMAZING SHOT IN HISTORY. THEN DECIDEING TO RUN ALL THE WAY DOWN THE FEILD, ABSOLUTLY BURNING EVERYONE, TAKEING A CRANKSHOT, AND HAVING IT DROP OUT OF YOUR STICK BEFORE THE SHOT. THEN, THE OTHER D GETS IT, AND THROWS TO THE OTHER TEAMS ATTACK MAN, AS HE SHOOTS AND SCORES AT THE LAST SECOND TO WIN THE GAME 3-4 IN A PLAYOFF GAME...THEN GETTING TIPEED BY YOUR TEAM MATES THAT NIGHT...

Bounce shots in the throat. When the other teams goalie makes a behind the back pass to a defender who makes a behind the back pass to a midfielder who runs it up and makes a behind the back pass to an attack that makes a behind the back shot that ends up a goal. Outplaying the other goalie, but losing the game. Hesitation.

Yeah, I get that, even from the coaches sometimes. They yell at the middies or defense even if they did nothing wrong, and the goal was completely my fault, even though they rarely are. Its all good when your a first year goalie.

I was going to say the smell of my gloves, but this one is WAY better. I'm not a big -Its all my fault person. I'm more of a "Ok- I could have done better here and my TEAM could have done better here" kinda girl. And as far as my mental game goes- I'm pretty much sound. But when I play like cr*p and the other goalie is on fire. argh. it burns.

The worst part of being goalie is when you make a mistake, it is intensified by a large multitude. If a middie loses a ground ball scuffle, NBD. When you let that game winning goal in,

when an attackmen scores and talks trash all game, then you make a save on him and talk trash, so he decides to throw his stick at you and punch you in the helmet, so you rip his helmet off and beat the life out of him, and the ref ejects you but lets him stay in, and the score is 6-7 but the back-up goalie lets in two shots with only 1:30 to go and your team loses and you get blamed for not keeping your composure

having starting defenders that cant slide TO SAVE THIER LIVES and after a losing game having to hear people talking about how THEY could of saved those shots that got past you because in THEIR minds its not that hard to be a goalie at all. id like to duct tape those people between the pipes and crank a few on them from 5 yards. and getting a shot that is so hard that when i hits you in the facemask it makes the top snaps on you chin strap come pop off and your standing there with a whole bunch of helmet in your face hoping that your creaseman gets the ball out of there so you dont look like an idiot.

and thats all i really have to say about thaaat--forrest gump
