In listening to the first track on their Myspace, '151' I am reminded of 'Load' and 'Re-Load' era Metallica, which in my personal opinion was probably the lowest that band ever got. Many of these riffs seem to snaked from mid-90's metal and late 1980's grunge (think Mudhoney and Screaming Trees, not Nirvana and Pearl Jam). I feel like i've heard this chorus before on mainstream radio, which could be good if that's what they're aiming for, but it is certainly nothing original. It is obvious when listening to this band that who their influences are musically (Halen, Dio) and vocally (James Hetfield).

The beginning of the second track '2 Pills' is supposed to be shocking and obtrusive, but the effect does not (and will not) work on seasoned ears, and comes out annoying and jock-rock esque. The bridge and solo in the song confirm my thoughts, as well as that annoying low-key prechorus they do before the the second chorus. This song has been done before, many times.

The third track 'Last Call' begins power-balladish, but very repetetive. These songs "in your face" songs about drinking have already been made. Nickelback is making millions off of these songs. The singer ('Taki') needs to find his own voice, because it is not shown in the least bit in any of these songs.

The final track, 'Comin Home' is another power ballad that has seemingly been done before.


To summarize, these songs have little to no originality to them. There is nothing that stands out about this band. The low growling vocals have been done before, with better results, the jock/arena/stadium rock sound they are sending out sounds like it would fit right on mainstream radio, right along with the bands they have ripped off.
