I was reading sports illustrated and i found this ad...
www.speedsleep.com
its a cd that you listen to while you are sleeping, and enhances your sleep. It has two tracks, powernap (25 mins) and a deep nightsleep.

check it out
anyone know is this stuff actually works?

you have two different minds,
your concious mind and your subconcious mind.

it has been proven that your mind think about goals and achivements while sleeping.

supposedly. the music cause your brain to release natural chemicals that trigger reactions similar to using drugs
i've never seen it(wanna hook me up with a link? it'll save me a lot of money :naughty: )

Its called iDoser...and it only works for certain people...It works for me...but only some of the tracks...you also need high quality headphones..For example I tried the Valium one..(a tranquilizer like drug) and I felt extremely relaxed and comfortable...some say its a load of bull...but you have to experience it for yourself.

this seems sketchy. I would be real afraid to try this

Personally I think iDoser is all placebo. I didn't react to it, but I have wireless headphones now so I might retry it that way I can be on my bed (it suggests being comfortable/relaxed)

I didnt even listen to the reccomendation..I was sitting in my computer chair when I did Valium...and then like a few minutes into it..I just stopped on the computer and like...stared into my lap for a half hour..

Theres really nothing to fear..considering theres no chemicals entering your body or anything like that..Its basically just music..Its just a humming noise you listen to for like 30 minutes (different "drugs" have different times)

i second that. i want one too!

this stuff also sounds like what idozer is....where frequencies are played and you think your high. crazy stuff too. my friend claims he listened to some and all of a sudden a dragon came slithering out of his book.

its actually 3

conscious is your present mind, what you are focusing on
subconscious is things that are going on around you, but you arent paying attention to, like the hum of your computer, and once you realize that it becomes your conscious thought

and unconscious, when you're sleeping, where all you're repressed thoughts are stored, according to freud

and its not a hoax, its been studied that people actually find this effective, it depends on how you think about it, it can only work if you think/want it to work

Is it possible to add the iDoser doses to a cd or mp3 player?

i think it's part of a conspiracy. it's all calm and relaxing and sleep inducing at first. and then, once you're asleep it goes all manchurian candidate on you "YOU WILL KILL THE PRESIDENT WHEN YOU SEE THE QUEEN OF HEARTS"

the sleep one seems worth a shot if your a hard working man with seemingly endless hours and a family to feed. hardy har har.

as for the idoser,
whats the fun in tripping on mushrooms without the satisfying, earthy taste. the whole "have the fun of drugs without the harm" concept is pretty cool, but i still wont believe that listening to soundwaves for 40 minutes will cause you to have the 6-8 hour experience of an acid trip.

someone who does not know what certain drugs feel like could listen to a tape of simple white noise and feel like their an elephant with gills, and thats why the idoser is a cool thing. the ability to deceive your own mind is an amazing thing.

yes, i have tried idoser. unsuccessfully.
