Kip Fulks is retiering, hasn't done much latly for the hawks but was one of there big middies in there first year. Will take away a little from middie depth but not a big deal to lose.

The additions to the team are very impressive. Nee will definatly fight for the third attack spot (if powell dosn't come back) Couls also be a future starter with the age of Marechek. Getting Donovan back makes the D-pole position very very deep and scary.

jmp how does the MLL work in terms of contracts. is it like the NFL where they own the rights to you for so many years, and they if you dont play or whatever and the "contract" runs out you can just go to another team? im just curious to see what options MP has.

Is there free agency?

no, I'm no excpert on this (yet) but I think a francise owns the rights to a player indefinatly and every contract is yearly. So basicaly a player like Mark Million is stuck on the bayhawks unless they release him or trade him, then can go looking for other places to play. That is at least how I understand it to work. There could be other small differences but that generaly how it goes.

so basically they own the rights to them but they may not give them a contract or whatever, every year they will just pay them a certain amount? it would seem like the best thing to do because guys come and go from the league so often and the teams are making enough to just sign multi year deals with guys.

also i know about the regular draft, but was is the supplemental draft? i figure its for guys currently in the league but is that how they handle free agency?

JMP you da man!!!

the league detirmines who gets traded each year, im guessing powell will be a rattler, they usually trade people to places fans want to see them...

the supplemental draft consists of unprotected players and players entering the league, from the player pool. the sup. draft is basically free agency turned into a draft. im not 100% sure on this but it seems so
