hi all...
i am currently stripping my stx eclipse goalie head for a re-dye.
the only problem is the head has all ready been dyed in its previous life. what i was wondering was can i re-dye the head and the new colour not be affected or should i use some sort of paint stripper first to remove the old dye. will the paint stripper weaken the head?
thanks

you can't strip dye from a head, because the head is DYED not painted. it is actually soaked into the nylon/whatever fiber that makes the head. if it is not a dark color, you can dye over it, but the color might come out bad, if it IS a dark color, you cant dye over it, and you have to deal with the color u have. also, it should be known that dye of any kind will weaken heads, which is why dying voids warrantys

What color is the Eclipse right now? What color do you want it to be?
