Basicly...
Why did I start playing lacrosse?
My junior year of HS I heard our school opened its wallet to budget a team and I signed up for winter league to learn the game and stay in shape for soccer.
Why do I play lacrosse?
Most fun game ever. Perfect blend of power, speed and finese. Plus there is no other sport where you can walk around with a stick and practice around your house cradling.
What are my future plans involving the sport?
I'll be playing varsity lacrosse at my school again next spring and next year I hope to play on Kean University's team. After that I'd like to get involved in coaching (since i plan to be a teacher) and a men's club league.
You guys answer now.

In 7th grade someone told me I had the mentality to play goal. I now play this sport over everything else.
Now, I'm looking at colleges to continue playing. D1 would be very nice to play, but academics are a major key too.
i picked up a stick because our middle school team needed a goalie, but i didn't like goalie but i loved the game so i switched to attack where i can set my own pace, not having to be the biggest or fastest guy to still be good, that is why i still play, and i plan on playing all through high school and plan on playing in college no matter if it's d1,2,3 i don't care as long as i'm playing and having fun the school doesn't matter to me

In 4th or 5th grade i cant remember, my friends were signing up and told me to also. It was the only sport I was really good at other than soccer, so I continued to play. I am entering highschool this year and hope to go straight to jv and not play freshman. It would be great if I could make varsity freshman year but I think not. A dream of mine has been to play at UMASS amherst on garber field, since i grew up watching the minutemen.

I liked hockey, but I couldn't skate. Therefore, I wanted to play something similar to hockey. Back in 11th grade, a teacher from Sturgis, SK was taking names down for field lacrosse. From there, I figured that since I hate running, I would play goal there and loved it ever since.
Why I play is because of the fast paced action up and down the floor.
I plan to go to an open tryout for an NLL team (have been to three tryouts already).
I also referee both box and men's field here in Canada as well.

I started playing lacrosse because my brother played it. I didn't get interested until I heard of a club throught school announcements. That was in 7th grade, so I've been playing for three years.
I play lacrosse because I love the sport. I love the sport because, unlike every other sport I played, my team was really close.
My future plans involving lacrosse are none, so far. If I'm lucky, I would definately play at a college, possibly Salisbury. I'd rather go to a college for academics rather than for lacrosse.
Working for Brine or STX, or being a commercial designer for them would be cool.

quit smoking and reckoned i had to do something to motivate myself. i knew there was a small team at my uni and decided to try it out. havn't stopped since. love it cos it's just the best game out there. it has everything: speed, flow, violence, finesse... hopefully going to continue playing until i'm old and gray. doesn't matter where or who with, as long as i get to play...

in 7th grade i moved and all the kids in my new nieborhood played lacrosse so that got me into it. one of the kids in my nieborhood was on the SU team last year so i kinda have an idea how good i have to be to play collage ball and thats what i plan to do. probably not D1 but id like to play D3

I tried every sport except for lacrosse. I played basketball, football, vollyball, baseball, karate and i never really found something i felt was right for me and that i was good at and i could stand out in. Then in 8th grade my school funded a team and i tryed out and immediatley fell in love with the game. I played defense and made mvp my first year in the sport. My team went undefeated that year and i had the best stats out of the defensive players. I played indoor that winter and jv in the spring. This will be my second year of HS lacrosse and theres a good chance i'll make varsity. I hope to play in college and maybe do a little coaching but thats a long way away so i won't worry about it until i come to that road.

in 5th grade my gym teacher handed out a sing up form for ne1 that wanted to play lax for the town....my cousin played so i thought i would give it a shot (plus i hated baseball). the only other sport i played was football scence i was 4. so i was used to hitting. after mt first season i relized how much more creative u can be in lacrosse then ne othe sport. now im in 10th grade and on varsity....i just quit football this year to play lax all year(fall, winter, spring, summer). in the future i would like to go to a decent lacrosse collage. maybe hafstra because its right by me and they beat cuse a year ago so they cant be that bad or north caralina because my uncle lives there and the not to bad either. after collage i want to coach or play on any team i can.....maybe try for the ny saints if there team ever comes bk

cause i needed something to get in shape for soccer in summer and fall
and i hated track so incredibly much
and a few friends played, and i was interested the year before
and it was the greatest decision of my life
i only regret i wasted one year of my highschool playin time on track
i hope to play in college but if not i will find a club team and have fun, cause the sport is so great

Started when I was in 10th grade, because I wasn't going to make JV baseball, plus the Var. baseball coach is a douche. So I played lax, and I am a senior this year, I hope I make var. I played in the local box league last year, and I am playing again this year.

I tried out for the Calgary Roughnecks in September, 2001 for the 2002 season. This camp had 120 players in total, including 18 goalies. Once I found out what the chances were like to go to the main camp, I thought OMG this will be tougher than I thought.
In October, 2002, I tried out for the Colorado Mammoth after they moved from Washington (they were the Power the previous year). I had a much better experience this time, add to the fact that I got to play in the Pepsi Center in Denver. Out of 80 players (including 6 goalies), I ended up making rookie camp two weeks later, but no further.
In October, 2003, I tried out for the Colorado Mammoth again. This time, they were building on a 9-7 season and gunning for the NLL Champions Cup. This time, there were only 50 players (including 5 goalies), but only three players from this camp would get the invite to main camp. None of the goalies were selected.
All in all, if you get the chance to try out for am NLL team, take it while you can. It is a fabulous experience to see what your game is like against some of the best. The biggest adjustment for me as a goalie would have to be getting used to the 4' high by 4' 9" wide net as opposed to the 4' high by 4' wide net and being forced to use the plastic stick (different feel) as opposed to the wood stick.

I started playing lacrosse when I was about 7. What made me want to play was watching a couple of bandits games and seeing how fun it looked. My plans for the future is to make the team at might high school and possibly go onto playing college for whatever division. After that I'll probably help coach some kids in a summer league or something then probably move onto coaching high school.

Why did you pick up lax?
A friend of my dad/cousin (dont know which but ill find out) came to our house one day and explained the rules to me and gave a stick (wooden) and so thats basically how I got into it.
Still play?
Probably the only reason I still play is because of my coach, I had him for probably all 8 years ive been playing. He gave me a shot at playing and even though I was small, I always went balls out and he respected that and always encouraged me to keep playing. I learned a lot from him and he really made lacrosse fun for me. Thats really the main reason.
What are your future lax plans?
Im going to play for my college. I applied here for my major and they had a lacrosse team so that helped with my decison. But If this school didnt have lacrosse I still would have gone here. After that ill probably find a league to play in, im not good enough for MLL. But I wouldnt base my college on just lacrosse, especially since the pros make jack s....

i picked up lax because my old neighbor in ohio when i was about 9 played and he used to make me play catch with him. they didn't have any youth leagues there at the time, but then we moved here to northern virginia and i got the chance to play here.
i still play because i love it so much. my coaches are great and i love all the girls i play with. a lot of them are like my sisters.
i know i'll continue to play with my high school and club teams, and hopefully play in college, but we'll see!

Why did you pick up lax?
a friend intruduced me into the game when he got his first stick.
i IMMEDIATLY (sp?) ran out and got my first stick (STILL HAVE IT TOO!)
STX Turbo with an old Brine shaft.
This was when i was at the end of 3rd grade/beginning of 4th. (im now in 9th)
Still play?
Definatly! i LOVE this game! Even though i haven't played in a game yet, i've watched a bunch and played some quick one-on-ones with my friends.
(here's a good tip and fun! get a friend who plays lacrosse. find a brick wall. mark off a goal. get your gloves and sticks and if you want helmet and shoulder pads *i usually dont cause we play kinda light* and do one-on-ones whoever gets 5-10 goals first wins.)
What are your future lax plans?
Definatly playing all through High School, if i get good enough i hope for a college scholarship playing lacrosse (wouldn't that be some thin'?) and i'll definatly play until i'm too old and fragile to play.

i sitll play as much as i can, run to get in shape for it, shooot, wallball, winter league soon
future lax plans are to make varsity this year (or i'm screwed)... i'm just looking at that right now... plan on going to UVA so i can't really play there

i was in 6th grade, and me and this kid playin floor hockey got into this fight cuz we hated eachother basically after the coach blew the wistle to stop. so after he yells at us he tells me he likes the aggressiveness and i should try playin sum lacrosse (he was teh varsity head coach). sooo he gives me sum info and i started that spring.
now-doin a bunch of clubs and school is JV.
future: definately college, hopefully involved in lax in sum way for the rest of my life.
i like to play lax because its the best sport. it has everything, action, intensity, strategy, agility, and its a great spectator sport too.

My sister played and was the star of her team in HS, and went on to play for stonehill, the team that won the DII championship last year, and her boyfriend played and was the star the team in HS, and he went on to play on a DII team. So they kinda teamed up to get me to play when they were juniors in HS. I first got a stick in the summer going into 8th grade. freshman year I tried out, made the team, and I've loved the game ever since.

That was the first year of the Roughnecks at the time. I found out by calling their office and at that time they had open tryouts. That tryout was in the Calgary Corral (right across from the Saddledome).

Picked up lax in 5th grade.
My friend was really big on it and I had just moved to Connecticut and had no idea what it was.
Did box and field year round.
Made alot of friends and me and the kid who introduced it to me became best friends.
I never made the travel team in middle school which sucked cuz I think I deserved it.
Then I moved to Florida, made varstiy as a sophomore and love the game more with each passing day.
future plans?:
My dream is to play for Syracuse. So I'm training around the clock and this year I'm gonna email some coaches and go to alot of camps and introduce myself and stuff and show them my stuff.
Hey thanks stonewall. Yea one day it would be wicked to try out for a NLL team just to get to do that would be sweet. I've been working alot on my game and trying to become the best 2 hand player in our league cause almost no one plays with both hands in my league. And i might also get to be a affilite with a Jr. team this year

started playing when i heard an upperclassmen talking abut it in my spanish class. forsh year. i asked if i could play and was given info on tryouts
i kept playing because appearently i had potential and such. just kept playing because i liked the guys on our team. we're a pretty core group of guys. when new kids started showing up this year at school with sticks and tryed to show off to girls we felt it our job to shut them up and show them up because they hadn't played and they weren't one of us. i guess i liked being on a team where everyone knows each other.
plan to keep playing this year and try to be a capt. by my junior year.

i know this has been mentioned before, but thats another thign a love about lacrosse, that whole "family" feel. everyone knows everyone, varsity players actually know the freshman players, and *gasp* actually talk to them and give them advice. altho now i see lots of wannabe laxers who prolly dont even own a stick and walk around with shirts that say "syracuse lacrosse 22" or any lax shirt like that. i know they dont play lacrosse cuz i know nearly everyone who plays lacrosse. 99% of these people i am 100% sure they dont play lacrosse, and that bugs me. but on the other hand it means the sport is growing in popularity. but i ramble and get off topic....

After reading all the responces, I can definately tell that I am the late bloomer. I guess my first real taste of lacrosse came from American Pie. I saw the guys playing it in that movie and thought it was awesome. That was probably in 8th grade and ever since then I see it on ESPN2 every once in awhile. I have always loved athletics. I ran cross country in high school and was decent (ran 18minute 5k's). I always enjoyed team "game" sports (hockey, soccer, lacrosse, etc). I am in college now and really wanted to find something to be involved in athletics wise. I was close to joining the rugby team, but being a small thin guy decided that may not be the best idea. My dad suggested lacrosse being that it in some ways favored nimble, high endurance guys. I signed up for the team here (Truman State University in Missouri- USL-MDIA-B). I have only been playing for a couple months now, but I love it. I havent even seen a real game yet, but I will come winter and spring. It actually turns out that I am transferring at semester to Southwest Missouri State University who has a good club team. They just moved up to USL-MDIA-A and play teams like University of Missouri, Iowa State, North Texas, etc. I really enjoy lacrosse. Hopefully I can make it pretty high up on the totem pole by the end of the season. I am doing an officer program with the Marines so when I graduated I will be commisioned. After the marines I want to go to grad school and get my masters or phd in history so I can teach...hopefully I will be able to come to the east coast and join either a club team or some type of mens league. This is a great sport!

well my buddy asked me in 7th grade if i wanted to try out for his lax team and i said hell no i am playing baseball. As a sophomore in high school i had quit baseball and football and looked for a sport to play. I asked that same kid if i could try out and he said sure but good luck making it. I was recruited my senior year by a suprisingly large amount of schools and i have now moved out east and play d3 because of academics. i actually plan to either transfer d1 next season or move back home and play club.

i am not really sure about future plans.. i will prolly play through the rest of high school... a D1 school is definately out of the question, if i go to one... but a D2 or D3 school, maybe i will play...

Well, I started in 4th grade. I was bored of baseball, and hated the football coach, so I tried it out. I played with my friends, and then in 6th grade we finally got a youth program up. For the first year I carried the team, with my wopping 12 goals. Freshman year I played for the JV team and started, then sophomore year I started at defense for varsity. I plan to play for as long as physically possible. My dream is to play lax at Notre Dame, but I guess I'd settle for Cuse.

well, i first played at camp in 3rd grade. THought it was ok, i was the 2nd best in my agegroup. Then i played in this clinic at home and it sucked my left nut so i sto[ped playing for a year. Same thing at camp on 5ht grade. Gort on the team, best one. I am only in 8th now but i have high expectations for hight school. asi cans ee from most people here, they really only started in high nschool. According to my 11th grade sister, i have a very good chance of making varsity fresh year. I play because i loveit. I live in a very baseball soccer oriented townm, and do not play either anymore, lax all year. sLOWLY i have been turning kids away from babseball to find a truw amn's sport. I do not really expect to be recruitee. u never know though.

I started because I decided baseball, although I was very good at it, was gay. My neighbors bought sticks and I followed suit, but an actual league wouldn't be formed for two years. In eigth grade, fliers for a new league were passed around. I crapped my pants I was so happy. I signed up the next day, and am on my third season right now. I'm going to be playing year round, and my school is getting a team next year.
I will definitely play HS lax, maybe college. All I know is I want to always be involved.

i started playing box when i was 4 and had no stick skills so i played goalie and have ever since. my future goals are to play jrA box and make the NLL.
lacrosse is the best sport ever.
I started my freshman year. Basically my h.s. team lost 17 seniors and wanted pretty much anyone to play. My first time holding a stick was the seasons first practise. I basically learned by playing on a varsity level in a big lacrosse area. Now im addicted... I swear there should be a Lacrosse Anonymous somewhere. Anyways, playing at a d1 school isn't really on the top of my list, I just want to play.

started playing because my junior year someone said we may have a team so i and three of my friends bought some sticks. i think two of them got brine OZ's and i got a rotor along one other guy. we got our act together with a bunch of other kids and raised a bunch of money because in NC its not technically a varsity sport because 25% of schools have to have it and they dont but theyre workin on it. so yea, we got our money, our stuff, posted a 2-11 record, and came back next year and went 9-7.
now i play lacrosse at NC State, its a club team, so we have to pay money to play. again. i play with one of those guys i started playing with in high school. of course, im the goalie and hes a middie, so hes always tryin to go against me. it really is a lot of fun and i look forward to playing for the next few years.
as for future, who knows? by the time im done in college there could be rec leagues anywhere i go that i might be able to play in. who knows..
thats my story.

I picked up lax because a couple of my buddies did it and I was bored in the springtime, and i shall never regret it. I still play because of the adrenaline rush and the pure enjoyment of the sport. i also like the recognition from people who understand who physically demanding lacrosse is, and its not an easy sport. My future plans are to play as much as I can.

started in seventh grade. my friend told me to try out, i barely knew anything about the sport. so i played for another school. within a year, i decided to quit playing football and basketball in highschool just so i could play in the fall and winter leagues as well as the school team. its my favorite sport to play now, and eveen as a freshman with less than two years experience, im playing on our varsity team, beating out a junior, sophomore, and another freshman. all three of them have been playing for at least 3 years

We had this sub in PE and he was a lacrosse coach at some school. we were playing field hockey in class and he told i had to try out lacrosse. i started laughing cuz i had tried messing around with a stick before and it just wasnt my thing but when i mentioned it to my friend she was like YEAH lets do it! so i sort of got dragged into it but what can i say its addictive

We got a girls club team and my brother plays lacrosse so I've always been interested in it.Then my coach asked me to play goalie cuz she needed some1 who could take control of the field. My brother threw me in goal and started shooting on me. (rather scary) And now we are a Varsity team next year (VERY excited!)
I would LOVE to play lax in college and then when I'm a math teacher,I want to also coach women's lacrosse at the high school I'm attending rite now.

Let's see. I started in 1954 in the 7th grade, the first year of lacrosse at my prep school in Massachusetts. We started a lacrosse team at my college in Colorado and I played until 1966. I played a little after that for various clubs when i was in the Norfolk area in the Navy. I started playing again in 2003 in Denmark with a new club there, too. But the injuries seem to have caught up with me, so now i just do drills, scrimmage and coach a little. It's still fun.
Oh, why did I start? I was afraid of the baseball.

I started playing guys lax in third grade. I played summers and winters untill 6th grade in which I only played indoor and started playing softball because a friend said I would be good at it so I decided I would try. I was good so I dropped lacrosse to play softball in 7th and 8th grade. Freshman year I made varsity softball as the starting catcher but after three days of practice and watching a whole season of indoor, I decided I hated softball and everyone was too serious, so I went back and asked my sisters coach if could still try out. Needless to say, he said I could and with in three weeks I was up on varsity as a starting freshman goalie. And now, I have almost completed a year of playing lacrosse again, oh how much fun it has been.
Right now I don't know if I want to go and play in college but I am thinking about it. Just enjoying lacrosse and life for now.

Ive got a massive total of one game under my belt, but im loving it nonetheless!

When I was in the 6th grade I saw a MLL game on tv and was interested right away. It just so happened that a teacher at school started a club, and I have been playing ever since.
This year I'll be playing on my high school team, and I plan to continue playing in college.

I started playing in 5th grade, because my dad played in h.s and college. i was a goalie in hockey so i was used to being lazy and not running that much, so i played net and loved it. i quit until 8th to play travel ice hockey then started practicing again so i can make the h.s team because there is no middle school lax in florida. and i made varsity this year.. i was happy!

i was fresh off a highly successful sefason of all-star baseball when I was nine, but I had played lacrosse at camp and a team had started up. The signups were on a saturday morning, immediately before my hockey game, and in the 5 minutes I had before my game started, I said, 'what the heck, i'll do it', then went tot he hockey game. best decision I've ever made .
i play it for the same reason everyone else plays it. it fulfills everything anyone could ever want in life.
i just want to stay involved in lacrosse as long as I possibly can.

I started in 2nd grade or so because my dad played and I was tired of soccer. I play because I love the game. I plan on hanging around with lax through high school and then going to UVA if I'm not recruited anywhere and trying to walk on to the team. If not, I will just keep on trying to walk on or see if any other schools are interested in me. I believe I have the grades for UVA, maybe not the lax skizillze. And then, if I'm successful at UVA, I plan on trying to get drafted in MLL or NLL and playing a few summers or winters with them while holding a job. One that makes money.

Why did I start playing?
A LONG time ago (1978), I was finishing up my freshman year in football. One of my friends on the team (who eventually ended up playing JV at UMASS) asked me if I wanted to play lax and told me his brother was the freshman lax coach. He said it was "a great way to stay in shape for football." I said I'd think about it, but had only seen about 30 seconds on TV before and really thought to myself "I could just as easliy stay in shape for football by running around and into trees," which is what I told my dad. I didn't know it before, but he played a bit when they had all wooden sticks and, again, I said I'd think about it (what I was really thinking about was how nice it would be to, for once, come home from school before 6 p.m. and lay on the couch playing Atari). Finally, my football coach told me he REALLY thought I should play and told me he was the JV coach. So, I said "OK, I've never seen it before, but I'll try."
No store in my town had lax equipment back then so we went to the Brine store and and looked for sticks. The guy there asked me what position I played and I said, "No idea...I'm a football player." So he sold me a d-stick (it was the worst stick ever...a P-77, which sucked and - luckily - broke pretty quickly, but after the warranty ran out by a week). I totally sucked in my first practices, but finally got to see my first "game," a scrimmage between our varsity and the Harvard JVs. The first real game I saw was one I played in, but I spent about as much time in the penalty box (three minutes, all for slashes) as I did on the field. But....by the fourth game I was starting and loved it ever since. The first year was frustrating, though. I had never had a losing season in anything before and we ended up 0-14 (the closest game was three goals, most were around 5-15 goal losses). By the way, I've never had a losing season in lax since then (1979). I was glad to be a defenseman, because we had about 36 plays and could perform them all equally....badly. Summer lax was even more fun and every year got more fun, as well.
Hmmm...I forgot the next question after writing so much, but I think it was Why do I still play?
Because it is the greatest sport there is. Even after going 0-14 the first year, I loved it even better than football and anything else. Having Jim Walker as my JV coach (and going 10-4) made it great, too. He was the first coach I ever had who taught us WHY we did things, not just what to do.
Lax Future?
Well, I hope to coach Norway (and maybe even play, too, but only if I'm good enough) in 2008 and 2010 (and hopefully beyond). I'd also like to win the Norwegian Championships as a player/coach (did that in Germany twice), but that will take some time (we just got our 8th and 9th players yesterday). Norwegian Indoor Champions for sure. I also want to play until I can't run or see. I should have at least a few years left before those happen.

Started playing in HS. Stopped after I graduated. Starting playing again after my son picked it up. Been playing ever since (through two torn ACLs and a torn meniscus). I now wear two custom knee braces. Most guys I play against think I am crazy. Like stegs said, I won't stop now until I am dead.

I played some plastic STXball in school which turned me onto the sport. That summer, I picked up a gait icon complete stick which I used for my entire first seasons. I learned the basics well that summer and arrived on JV with skills almost as good as kids who had been playing the season before. Then in the season I worked my way through the lower JV team and was promoted to the better JV team, and finally pulled up to Varsity.
I've never been crazy good at sports, I was horrible at basketball and track events because I was never into it enough to put in any effort. I was decent at swiming but gave that up too. Baseball never appealed once to me and neither did football. When I started playing lacrosse I realized that not only was I able to know what was going on, I was actually talented at it. I didn't score goals left and right but I scored a few, and I very rarely had the ball stipped from me.
Anyways, the first season was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed it a lot. Then I decided to play summerball which was one of the worst decisions of my life. Basically it ruined most of my summer and my parents let me stop eventually, when there was only a couple of weeks left. The experience made me take a different outlook on the sport somewhat, in a negative way. The organization I play with (the only one in my town) was hard to deal with, and set up a horrible, inconvenient summer camp that we had to drive 2 hours round trip to get to.
Long story short, I am not sure if I wish to continue playing lacrosse this coming season. The coaches made it clear to me that if I am to play Varsity this year, I will have to play fall ball for the organization. I seriously doubt I will do this, solely because knowing the people who run the organization will make it almost the same as the summer league. I like the sport of lacrosse, but not to the extent that I would choose playing varsity and devoting every week evening and weekends to it, over playing for the fun of it and having more time to really do what I want to do. My friends are a higher priority than the sport.
I say this mainly because I have none, and have never really had the goal of playing in college. Due to this, I don't really feel like their is a huge point in devoting all my time to an organization I do not like when in the long run, the sport will not carry me anywhere. I say all of this in response to the question in this thread of what I will do in the future lacrosse-wise.
Hopefully, if the organization goes CIF, they will still offer an easy-going club program which I would probably join due to the lower level of expected commitment and and a funner atmosphere. Also, maybe if the organization would chill a little and focus on a overall better 'atmposphere' where players could have more of a life outside of lacrosse, I would consider a higher level team.

In 2nd grade i saw these kids playing in a parking lot and wanted to play ever since then. Then in the summer after 3rd grade i got my first stick, i didnt actually play a season until 6th garde and i took naturally to the sport fast and scored 30 goals my first season.
My plans so far are to make it onto atleast the JV team my freshman year in highschool and play at either NAVY or UVA

around where I am we didnt have anywhere to learb play until your a freshman in high school, but we played in gym class in 8th grade, and all my friends and I thought it was just awesome. I had so much fun that I went learned to play my freshman year in high school even though all my friends abandoned the the idea. It ended up as the only sport I played and it was a blast to play. I plan to play for the club team at my college this year (UW-madison) and when Im done with that hopefully a mens league where ever I live. I just cant see myself not playing this game.

I first picked up a lacrosse stick around 5th grade and started playing in real games in 6th grade. All my friends started playing around 6th grade and it was really fun to play with all the guys.
Of course I still play. I'm in 8th grade and am the best or one of the best players in my league. I start at middy for my town's travel team.
Next year I'm either going to move to Illnois and play Freshman A or JV at New Trier or stay here and play for Barron Collier (which is going Varsity). Then I'd like to be recruited to Hopkins or another D1 school.

WHY:
i play lax because my friends kept talking about it, so i decided to try it out and found that i was pretty good(for a noobie).
Why i STUCK TO IT:
why else? its the best game EVER!. not only is it one of the only games you can use sticks to beat the poo out of each other, but its also the fastest game on 2 feet. the best feeling ever IMO is when you score a goal:who agrees? it is also only of the scariest games(especially for goalies) because the ball is moving around so fast, and our school's got bad lights, so some times, the lights will go out and someone will get hit.
FUTURE GOALS:
i am on a JV team and i hope to play Varsity next year. if i do good, i hope i can get a scholarship to a good school

WHY: I saw a stick in Sport's Authority and decided it looked fun, and I ended up being pretty good to srat out with.
WHy I Stuck to it: It attracted me more than any other sport, and I loved how it took peices of every game and incorporated it. I ended up becoming engrossed in it, and now I am literally, obsessed.
Future Goals: Finish out my last year of high school on the varsity team, and then play club ball for whatever school I end up going after that.

Why: I quit soccer and baseball so my mom signed me up for something so I wouldn't sit around and watch TV all the time.
Why I stuck to it: It's a great blend of all sorts of different sports. Playing goal gives a real sense of pride.
Future Plans: Play through highschool. Maybe try and play in college if I can't get into the music industry.

Why I started: I wanted to be the same as my older brother at the age of 9 or 10.

Future Plans: Play through high school and hopefully play for UNC and not make them suck

I started playing in 5th grade because I wanted something to do in the spring and some of my friends said that they were going to play, too.
I'm not really playing now, though, because I've had 3 ACL surgeries on the same knee in the last 2 years. But even through that I'm still trying to play one of the two sports I love. I'm rehabbing now, so maybe I might play a little as early as next summer.
My future plans for lacrosse are to maybe switch from attack to goalie, just so there's not so much wear and tear on my knee. I'm going to try to make varsity and play through highschool, and maybe play in college.

i picked up a stick because our middle school team needed a goalie, but i didn't like goalie but i loved the game so i switched to attack where i can set my own pace, not having to be the biggest or fastest guy to still be good, that is why i still play, and i plan on playing all through high school and plan on playing in college no matter if it's d1,2,3 i don't care as long as i'm playing and having fun the school doesn't matter to me
Thats exactly what happened to me only it was my highschool JV team and i was a freshmen, and thats the way i feel too.
