I just got a STX Stingray head to go with my Serpent shaft.
Have any of you had experience with a Stingray head? It is very different from all other heads, and I would like some imput. (Same goes for any Serpent shafts

The stringray is not a well-liked head. Why did you get it?
You would have been better off asking this question before buying the head.
And if you want better input on the shaft you can search or ask in the equipment forum. It's a "guy" shaft, so more people would know there.

It is not well-liked?
I seem to like it just fine. I was just wondering what experiences others have had with it.
It's good for the more agressive players, and i love that it is lighweight and easy to handle.
Other heads, such as the envy, seem to take all the skill out of the game, as they do everything, mostly like a guy's head. As long as the head is in the same 'region' as the ball, it will go in. Not real skill, just good craftsmanship.
What do you mean by not well-liked? The cons?

I strongly disagree with you that heads like the Envy do all the work, therefore reflecting good craftsmanship and not encouraging good skills on the player's part, but to each his own. I feel that although a nice head helps, it does not ever replace skill.
I have a STX Stingray as well, although I do not like it. I find it incredibly flimsy and unsturdy. Scooping feels a bit awkward with it, but not impossible. Overall, I'm not a fan although I will say that the 'wings' on the sides of the head are fun for sidearms.
It comes down to preference. Some people love the Stingray, others despise it. Just because other people don't like it, it doesn't mean that you can't like it or play with it.

when do you find it flimsy and unsturdy? when players fight for ground balls, or just by itself?
how long have you had it?

I tried one out and from my impressions the flex was there right away. And unless you are a traditionalist (which if you are you should be demanding wood sticks for all), why wouldn't you want any advantage you could get. The stringray is awkward. The scoop is too small, the pocket doesn't form well for my personal preference, and it's ugly.
