So, for women, it's not like the men's game in which when a ball goes out, the player closest to it gets it, right?
just wondering.

It used to be a race to the ball, where whoever was closest got it. but this past season they introduced hard boundaries like in basketball, making accuracy more important. Its a big change in the game but easy to get used to, and i kinda like it a bit more.

So its is that if your team sends it out, its an automatic turnover.
Man, racing for it is just so much better. :D

You can still race for it past the goal line (but only after a shot). If Team A shoots the ball and it goes wide whichever team is closest to it when it "goes out" gets it.
I thought the mens game was the same? If it goes out it the ball is given to the other team unless it was a shot then it goes to the closest.

It is exactly like the men's game now. Hard boundaries unless it was a shot on goal, in which case it's the closest.
ques is correct.

Yeah, shot is closest, otherwise its a turnover. Including if someone checks it out of your stick and it goes out of bounds, its their ball because it was off of you.

You seem to be a bit confused. In the men's game, the team with the player closest to the ball when it goes out of bounds does not get the ball unless it is after a shot. Someone missing a pass and the ball goes out of bounds gives the other team the ball, regardless of who is closest. This is how the boundaries work in the women's game as well. Hope this clears things up.
