I've had a lacrosse stick for years but my HS never had a team until this coming year. I know how to catch and pass, as well as some nice faking moves. One thing that was never clear to me was the dodges. I know what a face dodge is and the roll dodge but what is a split dodge? How is it preformed? When is it best used? Also are there any other more compleX dodges with names? I might have even done a split doge without knowing it. I just did whatever came naturally and i thought would confuse people during pick up games. Yes, i know this is a complete beginner question, but i've never been coached or played at a organized level (just 1000's of hours of wall ball and occasional catch with friends). Im not new to lacrosse, just the more organized team and competition aspects of it so any imput would be great.

a split dodge is the same concept as a face dodge...you want to bait the defender into thinking that your going one direction..then quicklychange directions and go the other way...but with a split dodge you switch hands as your changing directions heres a video of the split dodge http://www.e-lacrosse.com/2003/hopva/h18bhb.gif
