it not so much SNAPPING its before releasing the ball quickly jolting them down (if righty... picture your left hand hitting right elbow... thats a bit of an exaggeration but you get the point... i hope??

a lot of the time on my left hand passes ( offhand ) I use momentum in my right hand and then catch the momentum to boost my pass.. its kinda hard to explain but if you get what I'm sayin, is this what is reffered to as wrist snapping?

yeh you pull with the bottom hand and then you use that momentum to boost the power of your shot or pass

if you watch a good pitcher in the MLB and how he snaps his wrist with the pitch emulate it with a lacrosse stick and a few minor tweaks and you'll have it

i dont really understand what your saying to tell you the truth but what the others have said is incorrect too your wrist snap is an actual snapping of the wrists just like taking a shot in hockey its all wrists, practice throwing one handed with each hand and thats what your throwing motion should be like

What you are doing lefty is a bad habit. Use your top hand. And don't hijack threads.

there's already an entire thing on shooting here...which should explain the wrist snap. If you still don't get it, it's you snap your top wrist forward and down so that the top hand forces the stick to go really fast and kinda flip almost around the bottom hand. http://www.insidelacrosse.com/page.cfm?pagerid=2&news=fdetail&storyid=72080
