it looks like a lot of back. use your arms a little more cause they looked kind of tensed and elbows looked locekd. also use your hips and legs to generate more turn/power

ilike ur form, looks sort of professional, i would still **** it back further and rip a lil more overhand though. nice though.

Yeah your underhand shot looks like it has some velocity and is pretty accurate, but I would also work on an overhand shot. Every coach I've played for has stressed you need an overhand shot.
What grade are you in?

P.S. you might wanna put a sandbag on the back of your goal. i noticed when you hit the top corner and the posts that the cage moved a lot.
P.S. did you/ your friend mail me the heads?

very good shooting.
but FYI the shot looks predictable (imma goalie)
the behind the back would have got me all day long though.
you draw it out a lot
either hide it completely, or go for all out speed.
in the middle you don't have the speed to burn me, or the trickiness to fake me.
very good shooting though especially for your age

That behind that back shot is NASTY! have you ever tried it in a game?
Vermont Laxer
06-12-2007, 09:01 PM
yes i have UVAlaxer hit cross bar
the thing i really like about is once you try it in a game once you go underhand again you the goalie guessing

Nice shooting. Hey, I was looking at your other pics and I saw one of an autographed MM poster. Did you get that at the Millon Camp? If you did, can you PM me about it because I am going this summer.

I'd just say to get your hands up and out. Every coach I have had who was any good stressed to hold your hands away from your body. That is a pretty nice yard you got there, but you must lose a million balls.

idk it just looks slow to me. Also pretty good form and like alot of the others said, keep your hands away from your body

you really gotta keep the wrist snap consistant, i noticed that sometimes you had omre then others when you were aiming at the same place. but your BTB is beast

youre a beast bro, I didn't see anything wrong with the shots but thats because I'm not that good of a shooter.. hopefully that will change tho, I'm going to a shooting camp next week ^_^

not bad extend your arms further , your getting a pretty nice back rotation but im with tiplax hips and legs need some work
your low to high needs a quicker release it takes you a touch longer to get it off then your side arm
BTB's not bad i like to fake high and then shoot it low or top corner
the next 'one'
06-12-2007, 10:10 PM
that looks all really good to me. the only thing i can suggest is to extend your arms. and yeah like JazzyJake said, either hide the stick alot, or go all out for speed. it does look like a really predictable shot...

i wanna see what you can do when you shoot hard not just hiding it.
and pushups never hurt
once their easy, pullups
and legs
a lot of shooting comes from your legs also.
so if you want to just ad speed as well, work up your whole body.
core, legs, arms.....okay everything..haha
but i know some complete noodle arms with ridiculous quads who can still turn out high-80's.
but you've got great form, and you should practice hiding it REAL tight and making a quick shot also

extend ur arms and wheres ur left hand u should b able to hit all of the corners of the cage both hands

You need to stop dropping your head when you follow through - it's sacrificing your power and you can't see when the ball goes in on at least 3 of those shots - the 3 shots that went in the center fo the cage. Your underhand is quite good for younger player. Im curious to see your overhand - you use a lot of your arms when you shoot sidearm if you can tweak anything it's the force of the torque in your torso twist.

Gets your hands up higher and farther out. It looked like you felt really uncomfortable going lefty.

The only thing that I can think to say is, keep both feet planted, I dont know if it makes a difference in velocity but it stabalizes you a lot better so you can eat the late hit that a good slide will bring.

i have a few things for you, first, wear your gloves, second, extend your arms high and away. you have the skip thing down pretty well but your upper body is a statue. loosen up a bit. what you want to do is, catch your pass, have your hands in shooting position, get your arms high and away from your body, do your little skip step and release the shot following through with your hip rotation to generate more power.

all be keeping all this in mind
LaxHandle- i know bounce shoots are effective but when um just shooting in my backyard i dont use them that much

Underhand looks very good, but hey it looks like in both your video's that you like to shoot the ball high, practice low shots as well, if I was a Goalie and you where shooting on me, I would think you would go high after a few shots. Thats where you use the good ol' low to high.

well im gonna correct you and tell you when u go to shoot you snap both wrist thats what gets the ball in the position to shoot.

well like everybody said, extend ur arms more. also, bend your knees a little more. your underhand shot looks pretty good, i would suggest dropping your stick lower, almost like a hockey shot.

Real good shot but keep in mind that all those top right shots are basically going right into the goalies stick unless he's a lefty. Also I would practice getting a little more deception into that shot. I've been practicing winding up like i'm gonna go overhand then dropping my stick and shooting sidearm. It seems like it could be a really good shot to take.
