World's (2ND) fastest pocket...?

hey everyone...i came up with this idea a while ago and just finished stringing it. Anyway my idea was to put metal tubes up the channel in the ladder formation. Why would i do do this? because i was hoping the ball will gain velocity coming off the tubes and have a much smoother release....Im happy to report it works perfectly, you can feel the tubes spining and it has a unique feel coming out of the pocket. I really have not been able to crank with it yet(i need a screw), but just by passing i feel and increase in velocity.

and i no that Gait makes those sharp shooter things but i think this is kinda different



i seriously dont know if this is as fast as The ELX-1 but it is fast, and makes a catchy title =D

nicely done. could use some more support for my taste, say outer leathers and some more crossovers. but still nicely done

You already made a thread about this, you could have just updated that thread by adding new pics to it. Anyway, it looks fairly innovative, but not really practical. and I cannot quite see why that would be so fast.

yeah i wanted to put some more support in too but i did not put in the other leathers because its a PP. I know there is some way to put them in, but w/e it still holds its pocket while throwing.

its good, and a good idea. you should have put more metal tubes, i think it would make for a faster pocket

I don't see how that could possibly have a smooth release if you can feel each metal tube spin. I would think it would be bumpy. Even those metal rolling tubes at airports at the security part don't roll the bags smoothly.

its more like you feel it roll of the last two tubes, its a little bumpy-er at the bottom of the pocket. Sorry but your just going to have to take my word for it...



oh and i would have got more metal pieces but the home depot ran outta that size =/

the thing is the pocket is cool and its not ugly by the title you imagined a ugly string but its nice very nice. how much. (thats from borat i dont want to but it)

I have been waiting to see this after seeing your first thread on it and seeing that most of these AMAZING POCKETS never get finished, or have any follow up, this was a welcome suprise. Looks great. Hows the hold(haha)?

hold in the bottom to middle of a the pocket is OK....but if the ball gets anywhere above the pinched part you have no chance...I made this mainly for shooting purposes. i did not expect it to have much hold, lol

if it doesnt roll out till the last 2 or so, y not just make a pocket with wider apart leathers and put like 2 tubes in on shooting strings?

1st of all the two topstring holes are so close to eachothe3r that i cant make the channel much wider.....2nd it does roll over the others but you really feel it leave the pocket on the last two....3rd it looks way cooler with alot of metal pieces, this is most likly ileagal so i dont really care how its performance will be, although it does shoot fast

Even if it's not fast it's a nice pocket.
