It might be an old advertisment that they just put in the magazine...

Yea it probably is an old advertisement, unless they did get rehired which I highly doubt, because if they did I'm sure one of us would have heard about it already and made a thread on it.

Ads are submitted way in advance. For example ads are due next week for the November issue of US Lacrosse

for being at a Harrow camp and (in a small way) being sponsored by Harrow Sports, while under a Warrior contract

They weren't at a Harrow Camp, they let Harrow sponser a Powell Brothers Camp and not in a small way. There were Harrow banners everywhere, the camp was selling Harrow products and the Powells were wearing and using Harrow gear at the camp. They got caught and because of this along with other stuff got fired.

ouch-- but good for them, warrior is crap and casey and ryan powell are so great
I consider the alleged Warrior-Powell fiasco to be more rumor than fact unless someone else has some credible insider info to share. There still has been no official announcement of the Powell Brothers parting ways w/ Warrior. Nothing by Harrow or any other company about them signing Casey and Ryan. The whole story started over the summer when Lax.com posted a big article about the dispute and break-up. After a couple weeks the article was mysteriously removed from Lax.com.

If they were let go, there might be some legal issues, so that is why no one is talking.
I would hate to think Lax.com wrote a story based on rumor or completely fictitious.

I can verify that they were usingharrow stuff. I went to one of there camps and got a free shaft. Also both the powekks had harrow shafts there was also abig harrow truck. all the jerseys were harrow
If they were let go, there might be some legal issues, so that is why no one is talking.I've never heard of anything illegal about saying, "I am no longer employed by ___," or, "Our company no longer employs ___." The fact that neither the Powells nor Warrior have publicly made statements like that makes me question the truth regarding the Warrior-Powell break-up.
I would hate to think Lax.com wrote a story based on rumor or completely fictitious.I like Lax.com, so I would hate that think that too, but Lax.com has a history of jumping-the-gun on stories. Your buddies at LN took a little jab at Lax.com for doing that in their reporting of the fallout of the Brine vs STX lawsuit.
My suspicion is that Casey & Ryan want out of their Warrior contract, but they flagrantly violated parts of their contract (Harrow at their camp), so now they have to let their lawyers sort things out. It's a little bit like the Ricky Williams thing. He quit football, so now the Dolphins want most of their money back claiming he broke his contract. He may reluctantly return to the Fins after all since he can't repay the massive signing bonus they gave him.

The story is true man. It was a breech of contract and because of that some legal action could be taken agains them. If you are Warrior or the Powells you dont want to bring attention to this as its a bad situation for both parties. Warrior looks bad for letting two high profile players go without being able to fully explain. The Powells just look dumb for getting fired from one of the easiest jobs ever. They definitely didnt want out of their contracts either, you wont see them working for a lax company for awhile.

That is only a small part of it , I know for a fact that there is much more to it but I can't say too much. Basically there was some bad blood between Warrior and Mike when he turned down a job with them. Then the Harrow episode took place and Warrior screwed them both out of everything that they had in a flash.
snafoo and Rattlers, thanks for the additional info. Both of you sound like you know what you're talking about, and your posts bolster my argument that the Powells have not officially parted ways w/ Warrior yet. They may continue to be Warrior frontmen b/c they can't afford to buy their way out of their contracts. Besides sports, this happens all the time in Hollywood. Actors and singers have a falling out w/ their studio but reluctantly continue to work for them b/c their contractually locked in to making X # of movies or albums for the company.
