Couldn't really descide where to out this but w/e.
If you watch two teams play each other and 1 team(lets say team-A) has a nasty Mid/Attack who uses a wide head. The other team(team-B) has a nasty Mid/Attack who uses a pinched head. They both have the same amount of goals that game and assists(actual amount doesn't matter).
Is:
Player A better because he uses a wide?
Player B better just because he adapted and uses a pinched head?
Do they both have the same amount of skill?
Kinda was just wondering what people thought about this subject

I'm assuming that the defenders they went against were of equal skill. Still would have to say same amount of skill though.

I'm gonna say same skill but the guy with the pinched head has a little advantage.

i think if you can play with a wide head just as well as someone with a narrow head, then you would play better if you had a narrow head. it's like if you are a really good skater with traditional skates, but then you wore inline skates, i bet you would have more control (after getting used to...) than you would with your old traditionals.

also i'm assuming that every move on both of their parts was the exact same...
EX. how they scored, how the assisted, how they dodged

if player A and player B were playing with the same exact talent, like player A could do anything player B could the one with the wide head is better.

If they moved exactly the same, wouldn't that automatically make them of equal skill?
BTW, I voted equal skill. A pinched head has some downsides, as wide heads do.

equal skill. That's like saying if one player has a high pocket and one player has a low pocket, who's better? It's all preference and what you like.

you can string a wide head up so that there is a channel that holds the ball just like a pinched head does.

lol I have to laugh...what do you consider "wide"...
many "wide" sticks of today are still tight compared to the ones from even early 90s...
From learning lax in the late 80s I would definately say the one with the wide head has more skill...it takes alot more effort to control the ball on checks etc versus a pinched head...nowdays defenders have to work alot harder to take the ball away from an attackman who uses a pinched stick

wide heads also give defenders more surface area to check your stick, although it's a rather negligible difference.

I've used a wide head to our standards, Proton and X2, and aside from faceoffs, I noticed no difference in my game at all from a pinched head. I actually liked it more wide.

I picked player A. I find that when you use a wider head it seems that the balls rolls a lot more. If you get off balanced and then get hit, the ball tends to fall out a lot easier. Also it just seems as though having a wider head makes tight situations, even tighter....if you get what i mean.

what if the player with a "wide head" has a really tight channel?
