is the gait helmet ACTUALLY approved for NCAA play, i know maryland uses it, but in the great atlantic catalogue it explictlly says under the other helmets (cascades and stryke) that they are NOCSAE and NCAA approved, but under the gaits it says "ONLY HELMETS THAT BEAR THE "MEETS NOCSAE" LOGO ARE APPROVED FOR NCAA PLAY AND NO OTHERS ARE"....i dunno just got me wondering if those schools are bending the rules. but i makes sense that it wouldnt be legal seeing that its just a hockey helmet w/ a visor ( the ear pieces and chin guard seem a bit weak)....

The ear pieces are fine. Quite sturdy. I think it's just if you remove the NOCSAE sticker it becomes illegal. Maybe. That's my guess, but who knows?

my bet would be since there are 2 kinds of gait helmets... the box kind and field kind

no what im saying is that in catalogue it never says in the description that it is legal... it actually says that only ones that say that stuff (read first post) are legal...

Rutgers uses it as well, so I'd think it must be appoved
