depends on how much time i have, usually more throws with my off hand by 20%

i don't really count i just do it. i do it more by time, than by reps.
i guess when it comes down to it, i probably do 300 righty, 400 lefty, and 600 just switching back and forth. then at the end i throw in some BTB's and through the leg passes, probably 75 combined.

does it matter that wen the ball is coming back from the wall, it hits the ground then i catch it?, or should the ball be in the air continuously

The ball should be in the air continuously. If the ball starts hitting the floor it means you're not whipping your stick.

you should mix it up more
100 right
100 left
100 one handed right/left
100 throw right catch left
100 throw left catch right etc
if you drop it start over etc.

yeah. i do that, but without the one handed, what does that do? and if you drop it, start over. it'll make catching and throwing very easy quickly.

useing just one hand builds strength in your forearm and wrist

it gives you a sort of feel for the release of the ball aswell

ok. i was thinking about the motions and not the actual strength of my arms.

yes, or i try to. it's hard with work and other stuff, but anytime i can i try to do it. right now i'm working on the 5,000 reps challenge (http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=89808) , so i've been doing it alot lately. it's not really that time consuming.

Why do you guys do so many? Seems like a waste if you do 300 with your right if you're already catching and throwing fine. I think you should work more on GBs catching/throwing on the run and shooting. Just my 2 cents.

Agree w/ MaKiMaKi13 - mix it up and challenge your self. Here is what we require all our players to practice 4-5 times per week during season;

I've never heard of doing quick sticks and switching hands while the ball is in the air. What is the benefit of that? I doubt I would do it in a game.

also, with some give-and-go situations you'll have to switch hands before you can shoot and whatnot.

We also teach a new stick trick at the beginning of each weeks practice. By the end of the week they compete for Gatorade's to see who mastered the trick. Usually about 80% get the trick down.
Stick tricks are never used during game but like the quick sticks they really benefit your overall stick skills.
