over hand shots on D are "Beter" because you have a higher percentage of scoring. the goalie has a harder time picking up the ball from and over hand pole shot beacue it could coume out differntly depending on whip. sideare shots are easy to save because they stay on the same plane(plain?), and the goalie can read that.
i guess becasue of leverage, techinaclly a d=poles shot is faster but usually shorties clock faster speeds

Unless you practice shooting with a D-pole, guarentee you will miss sidearm. Over hand you can get lucky. You have to adjust your grip either way.

D poles would only give you a faster shot if you could swing it at the same speed as a short stick.
If you ever shoot with a dpole, shoot over hand and bounce it right off the tip of the crease. Try to bounce it from there to the top of the goal. Apparently thats a really hard shot for a goalie to stop.

An overhand shot with a pole is probably the best way to go. It'll be a lot more accurate and the goalie will see the ball for a lesser amount of time. Most of the shots from poles that I see go down low, so that would be your best bet.

not really, bounce shots are easy to save (or at least for me) what i have trouble with is off hand hip shots. I play left handed (although i'm a righty) and when people shoot at my right hip, those are so hard! those are harder then any bounce shots i have taken.

d poles, if u can practice a shot u like, sidearm crank or w/e, then u will have a extra use for ur team on fast breaks. alot of teams wont engage dpoles on fast breaks intil they are farther inside the box than normal. that gives u a close shot if ur attackmen mess up or u just have a better chance shot.
i prefer sidearm/ crankshots with a pole, so much power and i got decent aim. but i shoot overhand with shortie's and would shot overhand receiving pass during the 4 on 3 or something, more technical shot.
