ok, here's the deal. last year my high school varsity team was in the top 5 in the state. but eveyone with exceptance of 4 players from that team, are going onto college. now are JV team only one 1 game last year. in the JV league. So now our JV team is our Varsity team. the 4 experiance varsity players, ironicaly were the best on the team, for the 4 positions. Attack, Middie, Defence, and Goalie. Everyone now on our varsity team, this is there second year. (except the 4 people). So its extreamly obviouse that we are going to lose, ever, single, game. Now me and my friend have been doing varsity leagues through summer, and a fall one starts today. But no one else on our team is doing these leagues. Now I got used to the varsity level realy quick, so i need to know, if this has happened to anyone else on there highschool team, and if so how fast they addapted to varsity, because its going to be extreamly ebarrising losing every game 30 to 2 or 3.

Something happens to alot of players when they play varsity for the first time, espically if you were/are a winning team. Encourage everyone to pick up the intensity. It may be a rebuilding year, but people always seem to take the next step.

well last year our varsity team lost 18 people and our school had captains practices like 3months b4 the season started and it got everyone a lot better and our varsity team ended only losing one game so u might sugest that to ur lax coach

Thats kinda of the opposite with us, when I was a freshmen only 3 seniors grad., next year, 3 seniors, and now this year should be exciting because we have like 17 seniors.
I'd say get as many of the team together and get them into those leagues, and start practice early for your team.

Ya we are in like the exact opposite situation this year as you. We only graduated one starting defensemen. So this year we have at least 3 entire mid-field lines for last year that are all seniors as well as about 2 attack and defense lines as well as our goalie. Needless to say that we are stacked this year and hopefully we will be able to repeate last years state championship. But after my class, 2005, is gone the team is screwed, even worse then yours' is.

that pretty much gonna be happening to me next season. we have a 11 seniors this year. and once they leave all our leadrership will pretty much be gone

the same thing will be happening to me at the end of this coming season. my team only had 16 people on it last year and like 10 of them are seniors this year. so basicallly next year will be tough, but this year will hopefully be as good as last. we lost 10 people last year too and we ended up winning our section-we dont have state.

all i have to say is that u have to work really really hard. practice with those 4 guys all the time, do one on ones, work out at the gym etc... but thats all i can really say. u guys have got a bad situation, but at least the goalie is good.

you never know what will happen. for example, back in my 8th grade year (a few years ago), i thought my team was going to be horribly bad. we only had 5 returners, and 2 of them sucked. and our team ended up going undefeated. and if you have a bad year, big deal. take one on the chin. instead of panicking, just play your hardest. don't get concerned on how everyone else is doing, concentrate on your own skills. if you work your *** off and become as good as those 4 returning seniors.
and by the way, please if your playing D get a shaft stronger than an F10 powergrip...if you dont spend every second of a game on the bench, then that stick will shatter.

we graduated all of our starters except for 1 attack, the head coach also took over the athletic department head. however, the team this year went undefeated when it was our JV team two years ago, and i'm hoping to be a three year starter, and the main choice for coach is will be the first head coach in years who ever played lacrosse (he was D1 too), so it should be an interesting year.
