Anybody else have this CD?

Being a big Queens of the Stone Age fan myself, I have it. However, I must say I'm not too impressed with it thus far. Perhaps it's one of those CD's that grows on you with time, but my initial impression of it, isn't too stellar. It seems to be a step in a new direction for the band; much different than the "Songs for the Deaf" and even "Lullabies to Paralyze" days. I'd have to say my favorite tracks so far are "3's and 7's" and "Make It Wit Chu"

Your Thoughts?

I haven't heard the whole CD but I think "Sick, Sick, Sick" is, well, sick.

Eh, I kind of like some of their stuff. Songs for the deaf was a real good album. The only problem I find with them is that it gets repetitive after a while. Alot of their stuff sounds the same. Yet I haven't listen to either of their albums in entirety since that one, so I can't really comment on what they are doing.

Sick, Sick, Sick is the only track that has really caught my ear or Era Valgaris but i think I am going to have to listen to it a few more time to see if it'll grow on me. Lullabies to Paralyze was freaking sick album so i am hoping Era Valgaris can grow on me.

I agree with atmusfear I think it is one of those albums that grows on you, but in my opinion their best album was their self titled first album Queens Of The Stone Age, better than Rated R, Songs For The Deaf, and Lullabies To Paralyze...

I dont know. I think Lullabies was their best. I'll admit that Josh Homme did trick me by starting that CD off with a waltz tempo'd "This Lullaby". Plus, Mark Lanegan (Of "Screaming Trees" fame) has an incredible voice. Then again, he practically lived off cigarettes for a year. Fancy that....
