It's because my parents made a deal with me. If i get straight A's I will get 500 bucks. But the otherside is i have to put 250 in my bank and then i can spend 250. Which is not bad at all. I made 2 grand this year haha. And they said for highschool, I get 1000 for straight A's but i have to put 500 in and i can spend 500. I know its crazy.

phys. ed (semester and a half) - A
health (half a semester) - B --> supposed to be a slacker class, but the teacher actually made us try...and i didn't want to
AP european history (year-long course) - B --> i was lazy in this class
forensic science (semester course) - B --> also supposed to be a slacker class, but the teacher thought she deserved better...i didn't think so
astronomy (semester course) - B --> ditto
calculus honors (year-long course) - B --> teacher was cool, but made us work hard and prepared us well for college, so i'm satisfied with the B. plus it counts as an A what with the weighted GPA system
shakespeare honors (semester course) - B --> a real slacker class, except i have no interest in shakespeare and i only took it because it fit into my schedule, so i still didn't get an A
government and politics honors (semester course) - B --> a hard class and i worked semi-hard in it, got an 88%, oh well
robotics honors (year-long course) - A --> probably the biggest slacker course of all
economics and social problems (year-long course) - A --> a semi-easy class, but i still worked hard in it because i'm going to be studying business in college

weighted GPA - 4.00

At my school 4 lates=1 cut and a certain number of cuts (3 or 4) and you fail the class for the year. His school probably has something similar.
