Take a notebook, and throw pieces of paper at people and blame it on the sleeping man next to you.

Do you have a laptop? That could keep you entertained. Or maybe a portable DVD player. Or bring a sketchbook and draw.

You love your game boy or you lost your game boy?

Either way..
Burn some CDs. I will send you a list with 18 hours worth of good music.

no ipod? that sucks seriously. you could always take alot of sleeping pills to pass the time.

you could always string a few customs, except you probably wont be able to use the lighter and scissors. go out and buy yourself a $20 cd player and listen to the music riot reccommends.

Riot, send me the list too! i am going on a road trip to some random place (my parents havent told me) and i need something to occupy myself besides sleeping pills.

1) When are you leaving?
2) Pissing off other people that will be on the plane with you for eighteen hours is not a good idea. Well, maybe if you're 12 (haha, you're 12. I mean immature.), but seriously.

Ask the people around you if they want to play games

You can keep a lookout for snakes, I hear they can be handful if they get on the plane.

If your ipod and gameboy aren't an option (or other portable electronics devices you may not have access to) I definitely suggest hitting up the book threads we have for some reading. A good book will make you forget the majority of the flight.

you should thizzle dance or watch the inflight movie

06-25-2007, 08:03 PM
You can't even bring a bottle of liquid bigger than 3 oz. on a plane, so don't even think about trying a lighter, scissors, or even nail clippers.

Without music or some way to play dvd's your best bet will be magazines, books, and sleep. There should be movies playing the whole time on a personal tv in the back of the seat in front of you, maybe 2 or 3 good ones too. Have fun with that flight :whyme:

LaxHandle, just a heads up, you are going to get a sig violation unless you take that quote out or adjust it. Read the sig rules for clarification.

Have you ever made hemp necklaces or bracelets? It is actually pretty fun. You can get cool beads for them too, not girly, but natural and manly, like wood and stone ones. You can also make them out of crosslace.

Read a good book, or sleep, sleeping is always good on long flights!

You could definately string if you precut and burned the laces and stuff, however after a certain length, a piece of string could easily be used as a garrote, and considered deadly.

Reading gets tiring after a awhile. I know After reading for like 3 hours straight while at work with nothing to do, I want to kill myself.

I say music, or the sleeping pills. Maybe even sudoku, or crossword puzzles. Something mindless and that requires no thought. You could definately bust out one of the old pokemon games for gameboy and be entertained with that for 18 hours as well. Not gonna lie, but those were so addicting.

18 hours... is insane. The longest I've been on was 13. You better pray that they have TV's on the back of the seats.

-I would just take sleeping pills.
-go out and buy the Duke lacrosse book, i'm almost done and it's a good read
-start your summer reading.
-precut strings and string on the plane
-make sounds like you are retarted and watch people react to you
-go in the bathroom(lavatory in airplane terms), and just start being really loud and pretend to be constipated and then come out a half hour later and warn the person in line that they shouldn't go in for a while
-bring an easy bakeoven
-learn how to braid dredlocks, then briad dreds into some woman's hair when she falls asleep
-my personal favorite is bring a black sharpie(normal or fat, not the skinny pen tipped one) and draw moustaches, beards, glasses or monicals on people when they fall asleep
-pretend to talk to yourself and talk about people around you(ex: wow that fabric pattern on the seat is weird. why does this fatty in front of me keep adjusting the little fan, he's such a tool)
-bring a few packs of big league chew, and blow really big bubbles and get them to pop really loud
-bring a board game like opperation, or hungry hippos and play it by your self
-when you hit turblence start freaking out ad yelling "we're all gonna die"

i remember me and my whole family(my parents, aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents) went to Italy for my grandparents 50th anaversery and from NY we flew to France(worst airport every but that's a differnt story)
on the way back i sat inbetween these 2 really hot twins that were a year older than me and they were really nice. we talked for about 3/4 of the flight, they played girls lax somewhere in Ct. and we just told jokes the whole time and talked about our trips.
my cousin who was 17 at the time, had a weird "light headed speel" and got dizzy and stood up and just laid down in the alley way, and didn't respondto any one. the girls were freaking out and were asking me what was going on and the flight attendents were freaking out. i was laughing histerically becasue we were flying Air France so they didn't speak english well so they were trying to find someone to translate, and they brought the oxygen tank and mask over. then they started calling for a doctor and no one answered, but meanwhile my grandfather was sittin the row in front of us watching an inflight movie, and he was a Navy Doctor for many years and is an Adrimal(he was the head phsycologist when the Iranian Hostages came back to america). So when he turned around he told the people to chill out and told my cousinto get up. It turns out she was just joking and "wanted to make the flight interesting." I though it was hilarious and was laughing so hard i woke up most of the people on board

so try and make things fun, and take advantage of the people you sit near and talk to them

Do not drink any water on the aircraft. My father works for an airline and He told me) 99% of the time, water tanks are not drained regulary, they are refilled but rarely drained. Most likely, your aircraft is coming from Nigeria or who knows where, bring at least 6 bottles of water. Oh by the way, do wall ball in back of the plane, the rest of the passengers will love the sound of the ball hitting the wall! Have fun and bring a calender to count down when you get back!

from all of my experiences in the car, ive found that the following work great to kill time:

- pokemon gameboy games
- paper football if you have those arm rests that flip out annd look like a table
- cd players/ ipods
- coloring books... laugh now, but they work magic
- sleep... possibly the best option
- laptops... go on TLF!!!, play addicting games, go on AIM, whatever
- rubiks cube
- sodoku books
- portable dvd players
- magazines

most have been said, but they all are tested by me and pass the test with flying colors.

when i went to hawaii it was like a 13 hr plane ride so i survived the plane ride with

1. Portable DVD Player.......but make sure theres an outlet or something for you to plug the DVD player into or else your only gonna be able to watch about 3 hrs of stuff

2. 4 Full Seasons of Family Guy.....or any of your favorite shows

3. As many movies as you can bring

4. Music

It might be a little expensive if your dont have any of that stuff but TRUST ME, if you bring all these things you will be thanking me at the end of your trip, have a good time in nigeria

Wear a robe and wrap a giant towel around your head, then randomly scream in "a languange"

wear running clothes and do wind sprints

do the preflight safety thing(exits are located here, here, and here.

listen to music loudly, and yell everything.

The water he's talking about comes from a faucet in the bathroom, if you ask for water to drink then it comes from a bottle. ^ and that's why

i remember me and my whole family(my parents, aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents) went to Italy for my grandparents 50th anaversery and from NY we flew to France(worst airport every but that's a differnt story)
on the way back i sat inbetween these 2 really hot twins that were a year older than me and they were really nice. we talked for about 3/4 of the flight, they played girls lax somewhere in Ct. and we just told jokes the whole time and talked about our trips.
my cousin who was 17 at the time, had a weird "light headed speel" and got dizzy and stood up and just laid down in the alley way, and didn't respondto any one. the girls were freaking out and were asking me what was going on and the flight attendents were freaking out. i was laughing histerically becasue we were flying Air France so they didn't speak english well so they were trying to find someone to translate, and they brought the oxygen tank and mask over. then they started calling for a doctor and no one answered, but meanwhile my grandfather was sittin the row in front of us watching an inflight movie, and he was a Navy Doctor for many years and is an Adrimal(he was the head phsycologist when the Iranian Hostages came back to america). So when he turned around he told the people to chill out and told my cousinto get up. It turns out she was just joking and "wanted to make the flight interesting." I though it was hilarious and was laughing so hard i woke up most of the people on board

so try and make things fun, and take advantage of the people you sit near and talk to them

If she's over 18 I'm surprised she didn't get arrested for that nowadays...

not to get into a debate with you, but you are a little bit off regarding the water tanks on an aircraft. 1. There are 2 lines leading to the "john" on a commerical aircraft, 1 line is for what is called in the a/c world "d-germ" the blue stuff? The other line is water as you are correct, however it is the same water line that runs through the entire a/craft and to the holding tank in the belly of the a/craft, and it is the same water line that is located in the galley areas, so do not drink the coffee either! If you don't see the stew actually giving you a bottle from her cart, then that "water" is coming from that holding tank. I asked my dad for a clarification, some airlines now will not fill the watertanks full because of weight, they will only be 1/2 full or even a 1/4.

That's what I meant, on United it comes out of a bottle from a brand called "Spring!" (Bloom/Food Lion brand I think), the bottle sits on top of the cart on purpose so you know what you're getting. I'm sure all the other airlines do it the same way.

You can keep a lookout for snakes, I hear they can be handful if they get on the plane.

If your ipod and gameboy aren't an option (or other portable electronics devices you may not have access to) I definitely suggest hitting up the book threads we have for some reading. A good book will make you forget the majority of the flight.

wow wow wow wow we have book threads?!?!?! when did this happen!?!?!
