I am utterly amazed he is still on TV. I, as well as many people I know, do not find him funny at all, and think he's more of an idiot than a comedian. I'm interested on seeing other people's opinions, because I'm just baffled as to why comedy central keeps him around, do people actually like this guy?

I completely agree with you. I honestly do not find him funny in the least. I don't see how he has fans, but people in my school happen to find his show quite hilarious. When I've watched the show a few times with other people, I feel they are just laughing because it's the right thing to do, not because there actually is anything funny.

As said he does take jokes from other comedians, his whole skits are always about races and are usually too over the top and he never really has any knew material, he uses the same ideas over and over. Now Chris Rock and David Chappelle are funny.
I can believe that he is on tv because lots of people find that stuff funny, I don't know if its cause they are stupid or just lack maturity.

I'm with you man. I too find him hilarious. I personally dont take anything he says serious, so it doesnt offend me. Yea, he goes over the top a little sometimes, but who doesnt?

EDIT: I admit I haven't watched the show in awhile, so I dont know what the new episodes are like, but season 1 was hilarious. Of course if you take what he says seriously, its going to be offensive and not funny, but if you dont... some things he says can be pretty funny.

i think every now and then hes funny. but the mexican bit gets old very fast. Hes like a little kid, if he does something funny and people like it or laugh then hell keep doing it until they stop laughing. All of his jokes are based on race, im white so i really dont take offense to them but it just seems like its the same crap that Chapelle did and South Park have already done. I dont know why he still has a show.

I think the most annoying thing to me is what someone else mentioned. He is advertised as saying what no one else dares to say, as in he is the all-brave comedian, going above and beyond everyone else's acts. and if you are offended by him, then it means you can't take a joke. All of this is implied and even stated by him at times, which makes him even stupider in my eyes. The fact is, if there was a show with a white person standing up on stage saying all the stuff he does, it wouldn't last 2 weeks.

Mencia usually gets up on stage, starts with something, keeps getting louder until it is uninterpretable screeching, and then the skit climaxes when he says dur dur dur or something else suppoedly offensive.

That's pretty exaggerated, but he simply does not entertain me at all. He is just an astonishly bad comedian.

Unfortunately, lots of people these days think its funny for someone to be up on stage screaming about things that don't make sense. Mencia makes a mockery out of everything he talks about because he has no idea what he is saying.

Anyway, Mencia is one of those guys you love or hate. I personally just don't get it. Most of his stuff is too childish for your average human being. I mean at least South park has a message, or some kind of intellect in it.

The Dee dee dee thing reminds me of something my sister who is in 1st grade does. Not to mention over played.

As someone else mentioned, he does have some very wierd body mannerisms. I guess some people think that is funny. It looks like he is about to crap his pants.

But hey, the guy probably has more money than all of us on here complaining about him combined, so who can really blame him for acting like an idiot to entertain the upcoming America.

joe rogan's pretty BA, I wouldn't want to mess around with him. He has pretty good reason for hating Mencia and Dane Cook (who knows if that's true) because Mencia steals jokes and his own bits aren't funny to me at least, and Dane Cook's jokes are really all the same. I mean I like Dane Cook, but the more you examine his comedy the more predictable you realize it is.

I think that people may actually be entertained by dumb comedians because let's face it, there are a lot of DUMB people out there. And most of them are the ones sitting around watching TV all day, keeping the ratings up.

His jokes are all the same and they werent even funny the first time. Dave Chappelle did funny racial comedy. Chris Rock did funny racial comedy. Carlos Mencia does some of the worst televised comedy and it never even changes.

Mencia is just not that funny, and real immature 13-year-old humor most of the time. South Park and Reno 911! are the only good shows left on Comedy Central. Chappelle's Show was arguably the greatest comedy sketch show of all time.

There are plenty of comedians who didn;t hold back who Mencia can't even hold a candle to (there are plenty who do "hold back" he still can't touch either). Five minute with any named below only further proves Mencia is a hack.

i appologize for the randomness: I heard a comic on CC completely steal 2 of dane cook's signature (sp) jokes. The monopoly skit and something else. I was ultra pissed.

i found him funny in the beginning, but i started being able to basically predict what he is going to say. he always does the same skits, and the only part of the race olyimpics that was funny was the chinese guy being happy that he won the smallest penis competition.
