Hey I searched and I found nothing on this topic. I have an interview this week with a top tier program and I was wondering how I should prepare for it and what I should expect. I have never done an interview before and this is one of the schools who has shown some major interest in me. If anyone could help then that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The main things to come with are questions and your transcript. Questions can include (but are obviously not limited to):

- What is the average SAT, GPA and class rank of admitted students
- What kind of academic support is there for you
- Can athletes get first choice of class sections that meet at non-practice times, helping to avoid conflicts?
- How many classes can you expect to miss during season
- What is a typical practice like and what is the practice schedule like (will you have time to pursue other extra-curricular activities other than lacrosse)
- How many other players are competing for your position
- How many minutes can you expect to get as a freshman
- Where do you rank on their list of recruits
- How many do they expect to bring in (freshman recruits)
- When do they expect you to commit by

You just want to come prepared so that you can learn the most about your option. Come in with any questions that are on your mind, know what you're looking for so when the coach asks you, you can answer, and bring your academics just in case. I had a few unoffical visits where I pretty much talked with the coach one on one, then we toured the campus and/or got something to eat.

If you want to have a good interview, get the interviewee talking. Just like a job interview, do your research of the school, the types of programs you might be interested in, and of course, the coaches bio and the history of the team. These are all readily available online. You don't want to ask questions about the basics, but you would want to ask for more detailed answers. If you have all your academic info, ask the honest answer of where you might fit in the admission's equation. Also... Shake hands firmly, but don't stong arm. And Eye contact is a very good thing.
