View Full Version : How to make the ball move around less?

I just strung my old Edge with some soft mesh, a pretty deep middle pocket. It looks pretty good, but when I started cradling with it, I noticed the ball moves around a lot horizontally, making it so that it hits the actual head on each cradle as opposed to staying in the center of the pocket.

How can I fix this? It's pretty annoying.

Definitely feels like it with this pocket I have right now.. cause the Edge is extremely wide so this ball is just sliding around... very frustrating.

I'll try the V, I have 3 straight shooters right now. I figured it wouldn't really affect it, because I have pretty good hold, it just moves a lot sideways.

a wide diamond U usually does the trick for me.

my Edgex is pinched to the point were it looks like a completely different head. Exactly why the ball barely moves at all.

it might jsut be hitting the sidewalls because its soft mesh

I'm not sure if I posted a thread on this, but string 2 hockey laces going down each sidewall starting from the end of the U shooter on each side. If you don't have a U start from the bottom shooting string. It should look like the head in this thread (although that wasn't the point of the thread):
