I've seen a few USA west teams come out here over the years, All of them have been pumped by decent Aussie teams.

But nevertheless it'd still be a fun trip. I wasn't aware that any American teams were coming out for our national championship tournaments this year.

USA west team is mainly made up of guys who play on A level MCLA teams. Most players hail from either Oregon, Sonoma State, Arizona, etc.

i could've done the same for football. The "Down Under Bowl" is what they called it. They have a bunch of people go to Hawaii and then Aulstralia for it think 2 weeks. 2 years ago i didn't know i got the letter, but last year they sent it again. so maybe you'll get lucky and get offered again next year.

It does stink though, my dad used to travel to Austrailia a lot (and loved it) and it's been on my list of places I've been dying to get to, though it couldn;t have been cheap. Much like THALAX, I have to wonder if you had tried out and made it, how much would you (or your folks really) have had to drop for this trip to be possible?

I know how you feel, I once tried out for the Pink Floyd Lax team and their first road trip as a team was the Dark Side of The Moon, man was i pissed I didn't try out...

I think i saw the team you were trying out for play today. They played against an Australian under 17's select team and won. However i think they were actualy an under 19 team and would have been spanked by any of the Australian state under 19 teams. Good group of kids though had a chat with them after the game and traded a bunch of stuff with them.

the thing about travel teams are that if its a really expensive one, some good players are left out because of financial issues. if it was a complete or almost all sponsered team, then i bet there would be alot of good players.

still sucks you couldnt at least try out, i mean it wouldnt hurt to know that you can qualify.
