Correct, the Dickinson twins just finished their freshman season at DU and Ryan Fanning and William Lawson are coming next year. All from Highland Park near Dallas.
Chris Root from the Houston area had a very good freshman year at Dartmouth. And I'm sure there are others.

Theres a few guys on D1 rosters right now. The Dickinsons at Denver, Rob Wellington at Duke, Tom Shuey and Mike Vaccaro at Hofstra, Drew Lassiter at UPenn, plus more guys going D1 next year. Those are the guys I know of cause there DFW area guys, but I know there are more, just not sure where. If your good enough you can go, but the problem is getting seen. Most of these guys went to camps in the northeast to get noticed so if u REALLY wanna try and go D1, your best bet is attending some camps over the summer in some of the hotbed areas like NY or MD, otherwise your looking at playing D3 at best, they are the only coaches who make the trips to see Texas players.

Its always a good idea to start doing Camps as early as possible, not just to be seen by coaches, but also just for the sheer fact that it will improve your game. Its more than likely too late to register for most of the big showcase camps now, but u can still make some local camps im sure, or even some of the later camps that happen in July. I know the All Star Lacrosse Camp has a late July session staring on the 29th at Keuka College in NY. Not the best camp to get seen at, only really the UPenn coaches are there, but its still a good camp none the less. Brian Voelker is one of the best close defenseman to play the game, right up there with Pietremala, and he always brings in alot of talented coaches/players to run the camp. Not trying to sell u on it, just know from personal experience, cant really comment on any other camps.
P.S: Depending on what grade you are in high school, talk to your coach about having him nominate you for Texas Top 99, its the premier showcase camp for Texas talent. If you can get into that the summer before your Jr. year you will definately have a good chance at playing college ball. Probably wont see alot of D1 schools there, maybe Denver, Bellermine, OSU, only the GWLL schools, but atleast you will have an idea of what kind of interest coaches have in you before your senior year.

Will McCance is committed to Hopkins.
He is going to be a Senior at the Woodlands in Houston, Tx.
Grant Williams is committed to Dartmouth, he plays for Stratford, which is DII Texas ball.
if you are good, you are good, doesnt matter where you are from.
