this is my first time posting on the forums, although i've been a member for a lil over a year now. i've been stringing 6D on all my heads for about 4 years now, but found out that my string jobs were terrible when looking at the ones on here. i think the shooters are screwed up, but i've been stringing them like that for a while and have become accustomed with them.

nice, how did you dye your head like that( #1 torque) or is that painted?

Both look like they have nice deep pockets. Good work with the stringing and dye.

i used the pam spray to get that effect. and the dye is black that i was trying to get to a dark purple but got impatient and took it out too early

more info on that pam thing please, that looks sick!
i'm not much of a 6d fan, but they look pretty solid, though it's never happened on any of my 3 torques, i've been told aside from shooting strings, you shouldn't string to the little 'wings' if you will, towards the scoop of the head

That is a nice dye, and dont worry your shooters are fine. That exact same thing happened to my friend, but his entire head turned purple....Nice job on the stringings.

thanks for all the comments, but the pam thing is pretty simple. all i did was sprayy a layer of pam all over the head and let it sit in the dye for some time. after taking it out, i'd just rinse off any remaining oil (pam) left over and where the oil rinsed off, the color underneath would be there. i did it on the second torque also, but its not as easy to see. and about the 'wings' on the torque, i've just been stringing my torques like that since i got my first one and really haven't thought different. ill try that when either my sidewall needs replacing or if i get a new one; thanks for the advice though.

so you put pam on, and where the pam sticks, that part will be white once it is taken out or just a lighter color of the color you used to dye?

by looking at the head closer, it looks white but almost with a slight tint of the grayish purple color. on the other torque, the green and purple one, i tried doing the same thing too and where there's green under the purple, its a darker shade than the other green on the stick. ill try to get closer pictures of the pam effect on the other torque.

your shooters are fine, both heads look nice. it doesnt matter if you string on the wings, it just gives you more of a bag
