Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew what it was called when someone like flips up of the ground. Its hard to describe but i know everyone knows what it is. If they are laying flat, then they kick they're legs up followed by there body, so they go from laying flat to on there feet without using there hands/knees. I want to learn how to do it but cant pursue it at all because i dont even know what to look for.

That's what we called them when I was teaching them (not that I could do them well...) but most of my charges were more nimble than I to get it down (by getting up!)

It's a martial arts staple. Pick any kung fu flick and chances are you are bound to see someone get knocked down and preform a kip-up to "spring" back into action.

It isn't that hard. Most people are just afraid to really try it and end up only giving it half of what they have.
