its actually the opposite, while there are less goalies then any other position, most colleges only recruit goalies every 3-4 years

if youre trying to figure out what the odds are that you could compete in the college level as a goalie its gonna be pretty tough. I know what you mean though. Everytime i go to tryouts i always figure, there are 28 attack players here and i need to beat out 21 of them to make the A team. with colleges its different, there are thousands of hs programs out there and many of the goalies are looking to play at the next level.

The response to your question is that if you are the BETTER goalie, there is a better chance you will be recruited.

not true homeskillet, ivy recruits goalies every other year some do it every year if they are in dire situations, most want three goalies on the team at any given time so they might recruit every other year and pick up two one year or recruit three years and skip one
