Looking to find a tutorial or site that would show me how to recreate a catgut sidewall. All of the new (or nearly all the new) wooden lacrosse sticks are coming out with a heavily coated nylon wall. Just wondering as to the intricacies of tieing such a project and what they use to coat/seal/ harden it.
I've purchased a Mohawk off eBay with some gnarly catgut. I want to cut it off, tie a new sidewall in, and then string it traditional. I know that there is a Stick Doctors Lounge on this site, but, I'm thinking I need some Box Lax input specific to this one.

Theres also this tutorial about refurbishing the stick itself which includes one way they showed to replace the gut with nylons.

Very Nice. Thanks to both. I think I can tie one now, I'm just wondering what to cover the wall with to stiffen it up.

Plasti dip?
Prolly not a good idea but some kind of epoxy would probably work

polyurethane
I purchased a new woodie and was told that they use fibre glass resin. Whatever it is, current sidewalls are a lot better than they used to be.

Agreed. Two years ago, i went through three different rawhide walls on the same wood stick. Now that I use a nylon wall, I only had to get it hardened once.
