My head is a pretty old debeer head. It looks almost identical to the Triton except a slight difference to the sidewalls. Anyone no what it is called or anything else about it for that matter.

There have always been disputes about the Answer's weight..Brine's website says 4.5 but other magazines and such say 4.9.

im pretty sure the answer isnt 4.5 because then everyone wouldnt say that the torque is the lightest head (when the arrow actually is)

k18 is 4.7 because it is very slightly lighter than a PP. Me and my friend wieghed ours. Also the STX Guardian is definatly not 11.4 I think it is around 10.5.

I still don't understand the intrigue some people have of head weights...

For one, each head might be slightly different...most anything has a tolerance of +- a small percent....so while Brine might say 4.63 (4.6 rounded) you might have a 4.75 (4.8 rounded) head...i dont know their quality tolerances so I can't be exact...

the other thing is many heads now have reported differences of 1 ounce or less...most are within a half ounce of each other...go to your fridge and grab 2 slices of deli turkey...the weight of the turkey is more than the difference of most heads...

the 3rd thing i dont get is these weights are all unstrung...depending on how you string will affect the total weight...not only that but two people that string the exact same stringing might cut their excess strings different thus adding more weight differential...not to mention string also would have different weight tolerances (not much but still)...

so i dont get why its so important nor do i get the need to know this when you just add weight to it later with your stringing...

i made this thread to help the curious people out. Personally, it doesnt matter to me if I have a heavy head or a light head. Hell, I used to use a shotgun on a woodie, and that is anything but light.

lol nice!
i didnt mean to attack...im really trying to understand...the reasoning for people wanting to know head weight...and the pointing out if something is 0.2 ounces different
i can understand if there were big differences between heads...

im pretty, POSITIVELY sure that the brine truth is the lightest head.
and i have 4 answers, they definately weight 4.5 oz.

ruth isnt the lightest head.. the arrow, as bad as it is, is the lightest. and i think answers are around 4.5 because my main sticks are a pp, answer and clutch and the lightness factor goes answer lighter than the pp which is lioghter than the clutch. so my guess is the answer is 4.5 and idk the lcutch and pp are said to both be 4.7 but i cud swear my pp feels lighter than my clutch
