Hey, just a quick question. Have any of you guys used the LAX brand gear? Arm guards, shoulder pads, etc.? I've been trying to get a really cheap pair of shoulders and arm pads just to play with for a few times over the summer and just trash em and you can't beat $14.99 for arm guards.
If you don't know what I'm referring to, then check out this link:

it's more like a knock off brand than anything else
if your new than try out that stuff and upgrade when you get better and more devoted to lax
if you are looking to upgrade it is not a step up

Oh I'm not new to lax at all, it's just a matter of while I Fed Ex'd my gear bag to NY (where I'm staying for the summer) I forgot my arm guards and shoulder pads so I was just going to try to get a cheap pair that I could literally trash or donate, etc. when I go back home.

Nothing wrong with them. Plus, it would be pretty hard to ruin shoulder pads or arm pads. Go for it.

How is it an 'upgrade' if its not a step up? An upgrade in the name? Pay more for the company name?

I believe what he is saying is that if you are looking for new/better gear upgrade, these wouldnt be them, becuase there most likely no better than what the person already has.

Translated:
If you are looking to upgrade your gear, then these pads are most likely not a step up from the gear that you currently own.

Tres Amigos charges $17 for shipping. I asked about rate reductions and got a simple, we don't do that. So I took my business elsewhere. Combined shipping at tres amigos is also a rip off. 20% off the shipping of the second so $17+917x0.2)=shipping for more than one item...an arm and a leg...
