well i just recently started posting on this forums and i have noticed that 2 of my 3 threads that have been started have been deleted with no explanation whatsoever

1) Thread on rick rolling, entire section deleted and when i questioned what happened i could not find the thread altogether
2) Thread on tlf numbers (average posts per person, etc.)...completely innocent yet deleted

if i am out of line please inform me, do no just delete my thread without any explanation

edit- nevermind rick rolld just found it- PART of the thread remains missing though

1.) I'm not sure about the rick rolling thread. Maybe some flaming or pointless posts?

2.)The post count and PPD count thread was probably deleted because the mods and some forumers don't like postcounts. Thus the deletion of post counts all together. You should really know why it was deleted.

EDIT: the counts weren't deleted yet, but the mods said that they are not here to stay, so they won't be here for long.

The mods, assistent mods, and super mods have reasons behind everything they do. They don't go around deleting threads all Willy-Nilly.

in the rick rolling thread people started talking about some other innapropriate things involving another site. as for the average posts per person. tlf discourages people being judged by how many posts they have.

Bingo. In the case of the Rick Roll'd thread there were several threads that were inappropriate and the easy solution (as with other threads) is to remove them so discussion can stay on track.

As for post counts, it's quality, not quantity we seek.

it wasnt about personal post count...just the average posts a tlf member has
and how many posts go into an average thread...nothing like bragging abot personal count

and rick rolld we were talking about its origins...from another forums which i will not mention

It doesn't matter how many posts a person has. So why have a thread on it?

It doesn't matter if there were other things in it. One thing can get a thread deleted even if it has some good stuff in it.

Does there need to be an explaination? There's like 20 of these almost identical threads a month, and I'm getting annoyed with them and I'm not even a mod...mods know what they are doing, if they delete a thread, they obviously have a reason for doing it, and they don't need to explain themselves.

Do not...I repeat, DO NOT create threads like these.

I'll re-state what has been stated over and over again, so dont throw a back-seat modding accusation at me.

If you have an issue such as this, kindly PM a moderator about it. Theres absolutely no need to create a thread to pubicly call out the staff here on an issue that relates solely to you.

If your thread gets deleted, dont write about that topic again, and move on. It's not the end of the world. If a post gets deleted, oh well, it happens. Just work harder, make your posts and topics more meaningful, and establish yourself as a respected member on the forums here.
