Gait Thrust

Hey ive searched for other threads like this one, but they all seam to be locked and they arent quite what im looking for,does anyone have the thrust yet? i got one at camp last week and i want to no what everyone else thinks about it? So far i like it but i dont understand why they made it a crankshaft

Is it on a composite or a metal shaft?
Ive heard about both and if so hows the weight because i like a heavier shaft, and how stiff is this?
