Do you think this would help your shot speed and power even more, or do you just think it would drastically effect the way you shoot??? I have a weighted ball and i am getting a weighted shaft, and before i tried it i was wondering if anybody else has tried it before or just their opinion on this.

I have the warrior weight ball and after passing and shooting with it for a while and than switching back to a normal ball you do notice a difference in your passing and shot speed

Notice for the better or for the worse? I can see where it would mess with your mechanics but if you don't use it excessively you may just increase shot speed without messing with the mechanics too bad

A change for the better, your passes and shots become faster to a noticable difference, only problem is that the weight ball can cause alot of stress on your head, Bonus to the thing is it works great as a pocket pounder

because if you did use both at the same time that would be like throwing around like 6 pounds all day that would definitely increase shot speed and i think that after you are finished training you can easily go back to shooting normal with a few minutes of practice just you would have a lot faster shot speed. I think that is how it would work, but i dont want it to drastically change the way i shoot if anyone has both then please test it out and see if it works and if it effects the way you shoot alot. thanks.

A kid that I coach uses a warrior powermaster filled with pennies as his training stick. In a short time, he has developed an insane amount of arm strength.
I would guess this stick weighs about 15 pounds.
I'm thinking of having all of my kids work with weighted shafts 2-3 days per week.
Its a phenomenal training tool, as long as you don't overdo it.

Did you have them shooting both sides so as to not develop an imbalance?

i agree, i also play D and i noticed even with the short pole trainr that it does develop your skillz a good 10% each off season
