I am looking for high quality lacrosse on DVD. Does anyone know where I can buy good high school, NCAA, or MLL lacrosse games on DVD. Is anyone selling them???
Who here would be interested in buying lacrosse game DVDs? Answer the poll above...

other than buying from the NCAA or from the syracuse TV station you arent going to find much. those arent coaches films either, they are full TV broadcasts sans comercials.
there is a large network of people who trade games, but coaches game tapes (which is what you seem ot be looking for) are very hard to come by.
fwiw: unless you are the copyright holder buying and selling them is illegal, so discussion of that on here is extremely controlled

Couldn't someone who has a lot of dvds of games just burn them and send out copies to people that want them? I think it would be legal if the owner of the dvd bought it and didn't sell the copied dvds. Therefore he wouldn't be making a profit so I dont think that would be illegal. Correct me if I'm wrong though

I'm no lawyer, but I believe that would still be pirating. Recall that Napster, Kazaa, etc. got sued by the Recording Industry Association of America for sharing copyrighted files. You're limited in sharing copyrighted material - do some research on the "fair use" doctrine. Unless it's for educational purposes (i.e. showing it to a team as the coach) or something like that, you can't just copy DVD's around. Though likely it would be awfully tough to discover and prosecute.

yeah tivo is a good idea, i feel like there is no official company that sells game tapes...do you think you could make money doing this?

Oh, ok thanks. I've done research into ways of not getting caught using limewire, torrents, and other stuff, but I've never seen the Fair Use doctrine. Thanks

e-lacrosse is a decent website to watch some games, but overall its just highlights and weak camera work....
