Well, I asked a recieved a lot of useful info on Chaminade Lax and the school, now it is coming down to the wire, in Oct., I have to decide whether to try for Chaminade or HT? But I don't know if I have the grades for Chaminade... I pulled a 87 and a 83 for the past 2 marking periods. My mom thinks HT would be a bettter fit for me academically, but what I want to know is how is Holy Trinity's JV and Varsity. Any info would be appreciated. Like all of us on these posts, I want playing time, not warming the bench. Thanks guys!

I dont know much about Chaminade academically-wise, but it isn't vey hard to get into HT, My friend went there as a frosh and he's usually a "C" student. HT's varsity was very good this year and did pretty well. Here's how they did this year http://www.laxpower.com/update07/binboy/XHOLNY.PHP The JV has a no-cut policy, but when you want to go varsity there are cuts. You're on the LI Express right? If so I don't think you'd have to worry about getting playing time on HT's JV. Their JV isn't as good as their varsity. I heard their JV was crushed by Saint A's and Chaminade. I dont remeber where I read it, but they're looking for a new coach (not sure if it was for JV or varsity.)

Joe Jacovina abruptly left HT after his two assistantsrleft for Molloy. As of last weekend, HT wls still activily recruiting for replacements.
The first and foremost fact that should figure into your decision is acedamics. Can you make it Chaminade? If you are a good player, the colleges will find YOU!

I'm entering the 8th grade in a few weeks with a 85 average for my last yrs. class average. I've been playing lax since 4th grade and I want to play in HS!
However I have heard that both St. Ant's and Chaminade Lax team is so DEEP with talent, I may end up just on the sidelines. I don't want to go with a lost attitude before I start? Coop exam is 10/28 and I pick 3 schools. My mon wants me to go to Kellenberg, and HT. My wish is too either go to St. ant's or Chaminade and make both the football and Lacrosse team, she say's Kellenberg is a co-ed Chaminade with the same academic req. but now I heard that at Kellenberg, they give special treatment to their Latin School students on making the cut because their parents have already been paying for 2 years already? BTW, I play D, and I am 5'5 1/2 around 110.

I got the info re: Kellenberg and Chaminade's academic courses by looking at both student handbooks, year for year, both were identical in each book. I don't know if you are aware of it but both schools are run by the same religious order. The only diffrence is I believe that at Kellenberg, they have a 3 tier track. I was also told at the Chaminade open house held last yr. to apply to that school as well in the event I didn't get into Chaminade. Who told me this, none other than the prinicpal?
