You can get "Wine".
It's like maroon.

I'd think to mix purple, black, and red RIT dyes, but thats just me, and I'm not dying expert.

the closest to maroon ive came was wine with some black in it. it came out alittle purple to me, but its close

well i just dyed my mesh "wine" and it came out a little purple so don't use wine....try mixing wine and scarlet...good luck! OR you could do what I'm about to do and just buy colored mesh from jima....it's cheaper than doing yourself.

i used a whole bottle of scarlet and got close to maroon just use two or three whole bottles of scarlet
