This is a trick I use in hockey to put some stickness on my sticks.
I use a puck in hockey but a lax ball will work just as well.
Take a lax ball(or other hard object) and wrap some regular white hockey tape around it a couple times with the sticky side up.
Rub the upside town tape on the portion of the shaft that you would like to feel tacky. I suggest taken it slow so that you don't make it too sticky.
Now you have a grippy shaft. The grip should last for awhile and even holds up in damp conditions
I know that some people may know this but I thought it would be beneficial to others.
