First Dye Questions..

Ok, I plan on dyeing my first head within the next few days. I already have the pan and the dye, but I have a couple questions. I'm doing a navy to yellow fade, so the top of the head is blue, and the bottoms yellow. Other than this I have no idea :nono: what to do. I know that sometimes navy can come out purple, so i just wanna know how to do a fade, how long to leave the head in, and how much water/dye to use. If you have a tutorial, let me know. Thanks in advance.

heres how to do a fade you can just overlap the colors or you can dye the head a solid yellow and do a blue dye over it

on the package of rit it gives you measurment for the water i think

what i do is just fill the bucket or what ever your using up past the head and and pour in the dye

EDIT: leave it in untill the color you want is achieved it will dry a lighter color

just like keep pulliing it out of the dye and checking the color untill you have the color you want

So i dye the whole thing yellow, then dip the head in navy until i get the right color? And how long should the yellow dye dry before doing blue over it?
