Summer custom and dye contest

BLUEJAYSFAN9 and i thinking about holding a Summer Dying And customs contest soon. we are running this by our fellow TLFers to see if you think this is a good idea and how many people are thinking of entering this contest. It will probably run until the end of the summer and we are thinking about having Jimalax material for our winners, but we need to run this past Jim first.
If you are interested or have other ideas please just post or pm either of us and we will get back to you.

Here's what the rules for the contest would most likely be:

-Stick doesn't have to be field legal
-When u post the picture of your dye job or pocket, u must show us a sideview in the head with a ball in it, and a face view
-Also when u take pics, put your username on a piece of paper in order for us to know its really u.
-If the stick is broken it can only be used for dying
-if you are thinking about asking to judge mak sure you arent entering because thats not fair
-if you want to judge please pm us and tell why and we will make a list and get back to you, plese dont feel bad if we dont select you because their are a lot of people who want to judge
-you are alloweed more than one entry
-origanalitiy will play a factor

and i don't think there should be a certain theme cause people can be more creative when they can do their own thing

well th dye is going to be all carolina blue, one sidewall area black the other sidewall area white and im going to do a red xlace pita with 2 white leathers and 2 black leathers in a homage to my favorite teams hop and my sschool also im going to go by my contest and say that everything must be field legal and have a picture with you tlf username and the stick

i'm pretty sure he means you can't have a predyed stick, but you have to dye a new stick with the contest in mind

i plan on dying a new stick within the next week or so, so this sounds like a brilliant idea, and if this goes through mad props to canesfan and blujays fan for setting this all up. Whos going to be judging it? cuz some kids might lose and think the opinion was biased or something. Overall...great idea guys

judgin is gonna be real hard, pockets are all preference so how can someone say that someones pocket is better then another. i realize that neatness and quality has to be considered, but what if there is 2 great quality stciks and one has a high pocket and one has a low and they got different shooters, how can you decipher the winner? we need REAL judges haha just messin, this looks like its going well, and hopefully it happens

The contest will probably begin once we hear from jim, and since hes moving it probably wont be for a few more days until we start finalizing everything

Having the stick be field legal shouldn't be a big deal, if it's off by a little then it should be fine. I'll probably enter the contest or be a judge if there isn't enough(which probably isn't going to happen)

Remember that most of his costomers are or were recommended by people on TLF. Even if he just donates a spool or two, it would be pretty cool, and probably wouldn't affect his income too much.
