it would be a good idea to make the messages so you can tell if theyve been read, that way you know if someone is ripping you off on a trade or purchase. They have the same thing on myspace, just to see if people are ignoring you for a reason

do you mean, like seeing if someone else read the message you sent them? if so i think that could be a good idea, although you would have to take into consideration that some people might just have not been on and thats why they havent answered there pm
just look if they have been on after you send the message.

Mods can do that, but we can't.

On the bottom of the "Send New Message" page, there is a box on the bottom entitled "Request a read receipt for this message". Checking that box lets you know the status of that message, read or unread.

No, that's a mod thing I'm pretty sure, this was brought up before and thats what the mods said.

yeah, say you send a message to a kid saying hey did you send out my head yet? and you know hes on, but its a possibility that he just hasnt had time to read or respond. But if hes continually on and has read the message and just hasnt responded then theres a good chance hes ripping you off. I think it could make things alot easier so you dont have to wait as long to give them negative feedback and you could possibly resolve the situation sooner.

users can't see that. we just get a message saying we don't have authority to view that.
